Your cost per km calculation is not correct. Add hotel accommodation, meals for additional halts compared to ice car. Purchase cost premium, expensive insurance cost, zero resale value after 7yrs, battery pack replacement cost, all these should be added in cost of ownership compared to ice car. Please do not mislead the viewers that running an EV is cheaper. It's just a fallacy

I own MG ZS EV for 15 months now. While my major drive is in city, I have done trip from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Mahakaleshwar, Lonavala and I have enjoyed my trip always. Its an excellent car to own and drive.

My creta diesel manual gives 22-24 kmpl on highway & city mix on long drive. The average cost per km will be between 3.5-4/km depending on diesel cost of overall trip. I have done multiple 1000+ km long runs and have achieved similar figures.

Imaging having a solar panel in your home and having an EV like this. If you only use this car for short trips like office or within 300km then you basically don't have to pay anything.

This is how poor selling cars are promoted by the influencers. Even after 15 years of CNG launch you are not sure whether you will get a CNG pump or not and thus even largest car seller Maruti didn't make ONLY on CNG vehicle , but suddenly EV stations are available across 3000 kms 😂 It's like suddenly Jimny became High Quality offloader capable SUV on weekend outdoors.

I purchased 2019 skoda rapid top petrol end for 4 lakhs. converted to cng.mileage 28km/kg n running cost is ₹3/km😂😂 no planning no tension nothing.i will drive this car min 7 days n spend 7 lakhs on CNG n even if I will sell this car after 7 years it will be sold out for 2.50 lakhs😂😂

Hyrider or grand vistara would be better. Its around 5r/km still okay compared to 3.5. considering all the hassle of charging

No point of buying an EV until and unless mileage of 400+ and charging station every 10-20 KMs on highways and every 3-4Km in cities. And most importantly, charging time shouldn't be more than 30mins, even 0 to 80% will be ok

Koi fayeda nahi hai! The volume in sales figure will not rise Until EV price of such vehicles come under bracket of 10-15L, people are not going to buy this! I was looking for this vehicle as it is way better than Nexon! But it is heavily expensive, even its base model executive is 20.5L on road & you have to buy charger separate as they do not offer charger with that! This lead to my decision of not buying this! Ek to itta paisa kharch karo, upar se charger ke kiye alag se do! I bought Honda city V CVT instead @ 14.75L! The difference in cost I saved is justified way more than anyone could even think! Upar se infrastructure jinki develop abhi ho raha hai uske pange se bhi I got saved for at least 7 years (jab Tak yeh na bechu 😉) think wisely before investing on a car as an expensive car can prove fatal ahead coz most of them will buy on EMIs!

India where 90% electricity is made burning coal is no good m charging infra hai nahi aur hoga bhi mushkil. Scope hybrid ka hai aur self charging battery or some other New technology which is being worked upon. But electric is short term. Developed countries ev use nahi kar rahi. Yeh Jaan lijiye.

Just finished 800km trip from BANGALORE and back we were 5 people with two suitcases.Drove entire trip in Normal mode and did not restrict my self driving below 90km\be hence got very poor average of 5.4 km\kwh . However my previous trip of 700 km in Eco mode with and without ac have 7.6 I'm\ kwh But currently due to bash summer of southern India it was not possible to drive in Eco mode
