true, Louisville had 28 last year and 30 this year, but you hear crickets because these guys won't get clicks.........Michigan Cheated and no noise like Colorado is getting and we are just talking transfers and not Cheating like Michigan,,,,interesting...
@trill4MJ Louie Gucci players all leaving. Prime should've let those loyal locals tryout for the team when he first arrived. Telling them to hit the portal on first meeting now got the team thin.
Can we please! Let all of the players that left stay gone ? If really rock with Colorado, then let's look forward to this season and leave the past behind. Why does this matter at this point? Let's move on and Let go! Sko Buffs!
Because of them have bad grades and can't handle the school work they can play football 🏈 have them can't read have high school use good players and just push them along long as can run that football or catch it D make young black men go to class bet have those good players can't read and they just push them along My opinion
Dylan took a shot at Shedeur by saying better quarterback play. That statement was about Shedeur's NIL and collectives .... He simply wanted more money. Shedeur's play is great and Dylan was being prepared to run in space with packages from OC Shermur. Dylan made an excuse to leave for the envy in him and his financial endeavors with family pressure.
i always here nfl locker rooms are like that. paycheck jealousy..... welcome to nil college football. the closet haters are right there next to you in the locker room possibly
It was reported that Dylan did not inform Coach Prime that he planned to enter the portal. Something changed. I wasnt a fan of Dylan being the primary back due to his size. Looking forward to the change. Go Buffs!
Dylan Edwards is mentally tough and has shown a strong work ethic as an athlete. While his speed on the field is undeniable, some may argue that his stature could hinder his chances of making it to the NFL. Despite potential weight gains in the coming years, it remains uncertain if someone as small as him would transition beyond college football.
His father got in his ear 🤷🏾♀️ I feel like how he went about doing it was foul af! He had a REAL life relationship with PRIME and the CU Buffs coaching staff that dated back to his childhood. They would have wished him well as it was Dylan's decision to leave if he wanted to, but tell the people goodbye and thank you for ALL that you have done for me on your way out. You NEVER want to burn bridges because you never know how someone can bring your name up down the road, later in life, to be a blessing.
I personally feel like Dylan Edwards was seeing all the money Travis, Shaduer and Shilo was making and Kansas State gave him the bag, his parents are looking out for him like Prime is looking out for his boys, it’s fair! Good luck Dylan!
I like Dylan but he is to small if he has room to run he is good but if he don't the other team was moving him around like baby doll.I do wish nothing but the best for him.❤️💗🙏
The toughest thing about being a player in this era of ball with the NIL deals is watching players get money while you aren't getting the NIL money you feel you are worthy of... had to be the bag. End of the day wishing him the best he def has talent hope he finds the fit he feels best gives him a shot to get to the NFL.
He didn't let Coach Prime know because it was not his decision and that would have been very difficult for him. I really believe his dad was in his head telling him he doesn't have to tell Coach Prime anything. I feel like this young man will reach out to Prime from around his dad. He probably already have and Coach Prime are not saying anything to no-one about it.
I don't think it is NIL. Manhattan, KS is a very small town. The biggest thing there is Ft. Riley, KS and KSU. Not a huge community with NIL opportunities like Boulder/Denver, CO. CU has more NIL than it is letting on. According to on3 sports, KSU was ranked 44th amongst P5 teams while Colorado was ranked 6th overall nationally. QB2 and T. Hunter rank 1 and 2 in NIL, Shilo ranks 12th overall in NIL. No KSU player ranks in the top 100 for NIL Nationally. Here in the Western US, I've seen Charlie Offerdahl and A. Macaskill on national TV ads with Coach Prime. So, I don't think it was money. I think it is a lot simpler than that. He is a small-town kid from Kansas. Just 100 miles down the road from Kansas State vs. +-600 miles to Boulder. His Father also played RB at Kansas State from 1992 through 1994. All Son's live to make their families proud, but specifically their Fathers! He is a good kid! Did everything CU asked of him and more. Represented himself and family well! CU will be all right and so will KSU. It makes for good TV when KSU and D. Edwards comes to town in OCT!
I think it was a combination of the latter two! Dylan giving less effort on the field Alton in his ear! I don’t care what the reason was, he did not leave the right way! He talked to a media outlet before he talked to Coach Prime! Lost all respect for him after that! And he still has not had that conservation with Coach Prime to this day!
@@I.P.Freely2-yz1je you MUST be a person paid to post negative comments to increase interaction. No grown a$$ man can possibly have such low self esteem to just constantly hate like a bitter baby mama. You are intentionally stalking ANYTHING CU just to be negative. Got to be getting paid.
Ninja stop da bull ur just a deion d rider wat about da run back dats coming 2 colorado from da portal I guess he didn't want 2 compete at da school he left man yall sum lame a people always making an excuse for coach prime smmfh
WRONG WAY?? HOW? Dylan is a hardworking, smart young MAN who made a decision in the best interest of HIS future. He's handled this situation like an intelligent mature young MAN. He has not disparaged CP, CU or his former teammates in any way. He left the RIGHT WAY as a MAN should! Also Dylan and his family have known CP for most of his life, therefore, I find it hard to believe that he and his family didn't speak with CP before announcing his decision to transfer.
@demanithediscipleofgod it is a factor, folks like 2 compare 2 small players but there is very few of them who make n last... Dylan 2 short. Small framed, no reach, can't block. 0 between tackle runnin ability. Overall overhyped undersized n underweight.
@user-ri8pc8ff5i Everyone has speed in the NFL. It's about how effective you are with it. Whatever happened to John Ross 4.2 speed, he got to the NFL but didn't last. Its not alot of players built like Dylan in the league, especially at RB. Special teams may be best fit in the league.
@@ShakeshaWilliamsRight Colorado has the most eyes on them than any other college football team win or lose. Hell they get more media coverage than most NFL teams
@@Poppa_Reedand yet they didn't have a single player go in the draft. Lol I mean they aint playing football for RU-vid views. They are playing to develope and go to the nfl. They went 4-8, had zero players go in the draft and watched almost their entire roster of players and coaches get turned over for the 2nd time in a 1 1/2 years. There has been zero success and zero stability in that program. They aint playing for clicks. This is these young men's future at stake and Dylan is seeing his being squandered at CU with deion. These guys have 3 or 4 years to make this thing work to go to the nfl. 1 year is already in the trash and wasted and the 2nd year is about to start and it looks worse than year one, so these guys are getting out of there and you can't blame them. Deion is gonna look out for the sanders. Period. Look how saban did it, how kirby is doing it, how sark, day, kiffin and all the other coaches who are successful are doing it. They all do it the same and you got this one new guy doing it completely different than everyone else and talking so big and so loud and yet getting absolutely terrible results. Lol there is a reason that anyone who has had success in college football, all go about doing it the same way. Deion needs to watch and learn. He has to get on the road and get to these high-schools and start recruiting, coaching and developing. The portal can help speed up the process of finding success but there is no substitute for recruiting and developing talent in house over 2 or 3 years. There is a reason that most great players make bad coaches. They are 2 totally different skill sets.
A significant relationship has nothing to do with football. The relationship evidently wasn't strong enough to keep him there, so he did what was best for him. That's that. We're all good!!
Dillon knew who his QB was in Colorado. Bless his heart. I pray he does well. Mag these are children even young adults and their decisions will reflect that. "We gone be alright". Go Buffs 💛🤍🖤!!!
He had to go for the bag so to secure future. He has the best opportunity now to make the most money as a player. His chances of making it to the NFL is slim to none.
He was the fastest player on Colorado, FACTS Dallen Hayden LOL. Dylan was not competing with Hayden. Did u forget that the first RB that left was Alton Mcaskill ? Dylan spot was safe he had plays in the offense just for him .
From someone that in his short career had to go talk to a coach and give him some bad news, if the coach is not the first person you talked to, when its time to leave. That's a absolute bitch move.
CORRECT BECAUSE YOU DEALING WITH THE WHOLE NOTHER VIBE MAYBE THIS WHAT THE WORLD HAVE CAME DOWN TO. EVERYTHING IN SECRECY I HEAR THAT'S WHAT THEY TEACH YOU NOW ONLINE NOW I'VE ALWAYS HEARD DON'T LET YOUR RIGHT HAND KNOW WHAT YOUR LEFT HAND IS DOING. NEED INVESTIGATING FURTHER ❓
I said that the NIL was the nail in the coffin for Dylan. After the news came out that Cormani was getting 20k a month or more just because he was a 5 Star. He and Alto thought they should have been at the very least getting half that from the NIL collective. When Alto jumped he automatically became RB1 but Colorado couldn't financially commit the money for Dylan to be RB1. All the best to Dylan and Alto to be the best they can be..
These rb's got to understand as well, rb by committee is better for your tread on the tires so to speak. They are undervalued alredy although you must be able to run the ball. Look at the rb that left Wisconsin to Indy, and he was finally getting a contract after all that, and he was the work horse. He was still drafted in the 2nd round. Teams that want you will see your value. True and trust
I think it was the bag and father's influence. KSU has DJ Gidden who's a damn good RB at 6-1 212 pounds. Over 1200 yards last year while splitting carries. I was looking forward to seeing the offense built around Dylan to see what he could really do with the added size and track practices. I don't think he will get as much carries with DJ Giddens as he thinks. The QB Avery Johnson only completed 56% of his 66 passes for 37 completions, 5 TDs, and 479 yards. He does scramble abit with 7 TDs rushing and 296 yards in about 5 games. I think our line will be better than KSU with all the new additions. KSU lost their best O-Lineman in Beebe so the line might take a step back.
Dylan has the right to leave…. But he should have at least had the decency to talk with his Coach to let him Know he was leaving! 🤷🏽♀️ Chasing money… never ends well 💕✌🏽
@@mr.khalilbashir true but alto was the feature then they picked up the OSU rb. Ultimately way too much talent on the team for Dylan to shine like he wants to. He went home, he will shine and he got the bag. What athlete in America wouldn’t make that move. I wish Dylan the absolute best!
When a person leave like that, it’s because of envy. Period, point, blank. When a person is open, loyal, and straight up like Prime, in return you will draw the opposite, liars, con artist and yes men, he better be careful, he left a stench in the atmosphere.
I mean think about it . They barely ran the ball as is, then they bring in more ppl to take up the already little touches the rbs got. Even sheduer out of his own mouth said they were going to be throwing a lot . Yall can say what yall want to , but to me, prime is just trying to get sheduer drafted as high as possible, so it’s going to be little to no running . Had nothing to do with competing.
Honestly I saw a clip where Deion jr or Darrius was talking to him at a spring game practice and these are the words that came out of Dylan Edwards mouth “being here is a stepping stone to help me get to the next level etc…” so I feel like he was always planning to leave but when the time was right along with possibly other things as well 🤔🤔🫤
Dylan wasn't an RB1 and the new backs including Micah Welch would have taken his spot and that's a hard pill to swallow. He's just too small for a 3 down back and probably left before he got demoted
It’s okay he didn’t consult with prime. I’m so sick of everybody thinking prime is god and everybody has to cater to him. Prime don’t consult with no dam body, when he want to do something he do it and talk about it later. I wish the man much success, by the way Dylan I’m sure had plans to play on the next level, shit playing there shit he want even get looked at bc Deion is only concerned bout Sheddur throwing every down only so he can get looked at for the next level. And if his daddy played college ball, he already know Deion is running a dam circus show down there.
Good for him moving on and doing what he wants to do. I think it was a good decision for him. By the way, for those saying he didn’t leave the right way? Were some of those that never had communication with Coach at all (despite wanting it) then told you should jump in the portal done the right way? It’s funny how one minute we will call these guys men when they are being told to jump in the portal or man up…then the next moment we refer to them as kids? Which is it? It can’t be both.
I think Dylan is a fine young man, from a good family who will do quite well on and off the field. He clearly made a decision that was in his best interest. Regarding the other notable transfers I think playing for CP while always being in the spotlight has been a new, intimidating and stressful experience for some of those young men. Therefore, transferring may prove to be whats best for them. The Sanders kids are the exception because they've always been in the spotlight.
Magdog, I agree that he left because of the NIL. They were already planning to give him a bigger role in the offense, and with the o-line being better, he would have produced more. I don't think it was the locker room because he seemed to fit in and gott along with people. I really believe that his departure truly hurt Coach Prime, especially if he didn’t let him know he was leaving. For all those who found a reason to bash Shedeur, Coach Prime, and the CU program, everyone knows that players have to do what is best for them.
I think it’s simple 1. He’s known Avery Johnson since they were kids. 2. He wanted to be closer to home. 3, CU didn’t utilize him enough and K-State will. Deuce Vaughn who is smaller then Edwards was great at K-State under coach Chris Klieman.
His departure could’ve been handled differently in my personal opinion. I have nothin wrong wit him wanting to go back home and get paid for his likeness but the position coach prime put him in, and the exposure that coach prime provided; he should’ve went to him like a man instead of leaving behind coaches back. Dylan knew he was going to be the first option anymore and I don’t blame him for wanting to have a bigger role, but you don’t leave without sayin goodbye.
If he left because of NIL,then that further proves the problem of NIL, I never agreed with it because it causes jealousy among players, who all think they're entitled to it. You see the QB getting all the cars and jewelry, and the running backs and receivers still saving to buy a car.
C'mon man let's be honest here. This year is going to be All about the QB as far as prime is concerned. The guys can see that... That's why the good Rbs are outta there... Daddy Ball at it's finest. No body got time for that.
Now, here is my take it wasn't about competition. Remember 3 of the Running Backs from last year left, not 2. Why is that? The work horse from last year, I think, went to Oregon state . I think it is the Running Backs Coach. Maybe he is not motivating them enough or something with the coach is doing or saying to them.
We’re not going to miss Dylan! It’s unprofessional to just leave and not notify the coaching staff. He just always give off sucker vibes. He just proved me right.
WE GOING TO TALK ABOUT DEION SANDERS NEEDING SOME TYPE OF MENTAL REHABILITATION THEY NEED TO PULL OUT THAT ET SCAN SOMETHING IS OFF WITH DEION SANDERS AND I LOVE HIM I REALLY DO. I NEVER FORGET SEEING HIM IN FLORIDA WHEN HE PLAYED IN FLORIDA SEVERAL VIRGINIAN YOUNG SWIRLING MEN WHAT FASCINATED BY THE SUNSHINE
Every running back wants to play all three downs. Hence, they want a minimum of 15 carries a game. This was not likely to happen at Colorado, given the RBs in the RB room. Colorado seems to prefer a "running back by committee" system, and this system likely did not comport with the desires of the RBs who have departed. Frankly, I prefer a single starting running back who will get 20 carries, as a running back needs to get into a rhythm, and the running back committee system does not afford a running back this opportunity in a game.
it doesn't matter to me the way the young man left it was just foul!! I know he had everything going for him in his favor with coach prime. I know small guys make it to the NFL but I think he will make a much better commentator ✌🏾
Remember on DMV it was said Edward’s had some with the coaching staff when he made his decision. I think it was an emotional decision, he was upset about something.
@@MalcolmGrantShow he got something to prove bro, at the end of the day, I’m big fan of football.. I love it..I don’t know what happen, but I feel like he got kinda pushed out, they were trying to make him a spread as a WR.. he wanna run it.. Offense will be 80% pass and 10% run, they said it
If anyone watched Dylan's vlogs on his RU-vid channel from last season, they would have known this was coming. In one vlog in particular, he mentions being home sick. Another reason is Dylan and KSU's QB are close friends. They basically grew up together. It was just a matter of him wanting to go back home.
I'm just thinking it's the fact that he's a small fast shifty runner and that's what Kansas state is good for bringing them out to go to the NFL and Colorado's more of a passing team he felt like he's probably unutilized but I bet he got coach prime blessing
This is the nature of “The Beast” NIL… there is little loyalty in business just as Prime did what was best for his family so should these young men I grant it the situation should have been handled differently, however, we live and learn!!!
Man, the struggle is real... One minute you're chasing the 'bag' and the next minute you're in the handbag business. To make your brand stand out you have to compete, make a lasting impression just to get recognition from potential customers. What exactly is the NIL?!... Seems to me we are not asking the right questions.
You present a really intelligent comment. I’ve also taken a moment to get several outside independent’s analysis of the NIL agreement. It appears that most of the commentaries I read here and in other areas expose total ignorant of how the NIL rule actually works. Many comments rely on outdated rules and player options regarding transfers and compensation. At 🎉minimum READ AND KNOW- BEFORE YOU CONDEM….
I think Colorado moving back to the Big 12 was a huge factor. Since he grew up in Kansas as a K-State fan, Colorado was a big rival in the 80s/90s/2000s. This rivalry was dead with Colorado in the PAC 12. In my opinion, he couldn’t play for Colorado when they are in the same conference as Kansas State.
What he should of said!.DYLAN= coach thank you for everthing, for believing in me when no one did for showing me how to be a football player and a man off the field! Thank you for taking me to CU with you, and because of you i got to play at the power 5 level and showed i can play. Coach im going to take what you taught me to KS to see if i can go and play with them on my own i couldnt got this without you so i have to see if i can play with what you taught me without you. Thanks! THATS All WE SAYIN PAY HOMAGE !
It's simple math. The team started taking black eyes and the parents of these kids along with the constant temptation of greener pastures influenced these kids to enter the portal. The truth will be told once the season starts if Colorado is better or worse for this. A lot of times, the coach can overshadow the program and folks do not acknowledge it. I like Prime, but there's a point you have to take a back seat and let your players development speak for you. Remember, what did these kids hear that made them come to Colorado in the 1st place? What are they hearing and seeing now that they're jumping ship? Why the hate towards these players for entering the portal? That's what the NIL deals and such were set up for. Saban told us and we just thought it was hate, now look at what's happening.
I think he transferred because Kansas State is closer to home and also they run the ball way more than Colorado does Kansas State for years has always been a run first offense
Well, can’t exactly fault him for that. Can’t fault him regardless, but the way he left should have been handled better, especially given the long relationship/friendship with his family and CP.
I know for sure it didn’t have nothing to do with buddy coming from Ohio state and him not wanting to compete. Only the buff coaches would say something like that when a player leaves. They talk down on everybody who leaves their program then try and cover it up in the public eye as if they’re the ones being attacked. S/o to D. Edwards praying for your success brah!!!!
Not a lot of mention here about his initial commitment to Notre Dame. He really doesn’t have the body type for the NFL and a degree from ND would have carried him through life way better than either of these schools.
It really doesn't matter why he left at this point.....I will say that the way he left was very immature by not even talking to Coach Prime and his position is coach just leaving without saying nothing to nobody is a coward move
Everyone is not going to win the heisman, if you can leave injury free with a great reel for play making. The goal is to go to the NFL. Colorado has way more exposure than KSU nationally. Good luck young man. Skobuffs!!!
Its his choive stop downing coach prime coaching staff and players who wants ti be strong well discipline and most of all winners the truth shall set them all free let go let god fix all things his way the. Right way keep going forwardly things gonna be good and we cpming not leaving❤
I wish Dylan the best but I wonder why he did not speak to Coach Prime, the coaches nor the other players🤔. Apparently he just didn’t show up for the morning meeting and they found out when we did. His actions were very surprising, so who knows….
@DC-vt8kn Coach Prime accepted the job then of course he had a conversation with the team. There is a video out there for you to watch if you want to see what he said to the JSU players.
