I can see she loves basketball, but her condition makes it almost impossible to put the real work in to be awesome. After this season, if she doesnt do well. She may have to face the reality, that sports will not be her trade.

I've literally told college players I know the exact same thing, you use AAU coaches or HS coaches to find a spot before you enter the portal. But maybe she already did, I don't know. He never says her name either but he does throw shots at her and the first wife. I understand that children shouldn’t get everything they want but sometimes parents can say and do things that hurt. I remember on one video, Shelomi was afraid to call her dad because she thought that he was mad at her. Deion seems to rule with an iron fist and that can sometimes push the child away. She did ask him for his support. I also heard Deiondra tell him more than once, to not talk about her mom.
I respect that fact that Shelomi is making her own decision about her future and moving on to a level where she will play. As a season ticket holder, I can attest to the fact that her mother attended most games, while I only saw her dad at maybe a half of a game before retreating into the training room for treatment. He never returned to the arena to support the team. On another note however, she was NOT responsible for attendance increasing at games. This totally discredits the hard work and team building that each of those seniors accomplished over the years. Namely Jaylyn Sherrod. Plus the fact that the team went to the Sweet 16 two years in a row speaks to a program that was already on solid ground and thriving. A walk on at ANY university must pay their dues, period. The team didn't treat her bad but if she thought she should have played 10+ minutes as a RS freshman, over others, that was a mistake on her part. I hope she has an amazing and fulfilling career with her new school, but more importantly, that she is happy. Please don't bash the WBB program for something they didn't create.

They’ve made decisions in their later years to follow him entirely. I’m sure she put in lots of work but I gotta agree. Objectively seems like the only reason she had a shot at playing at the college level is because of the name. Not saying Deion is perfect, I’m a father of a 7 year old daughter at that, my only child in terms of having a soft spot for daughters as a dad. Just seems like Deion knew she wasn’t gonna earn a living from basketball, might as well do so at a famed HBCU then D1 under his thumb. If the girl balls out and works her way back to a D1 I would be happy to admit wrong. All the best either way, just seems like a bad look as of present type.
