Considering you had 7 seconds remaining on your Heavy Thrust buff, have you tried to do a set of TT > VT > FT (without F&C) before restarting back to HT? That way you wouldn't clip your Chaos Thrust by so much.

yeah i've considered that and also the old 2.0 rotation as well with a 2sec gcd if i had used the FT combo there, i would end up dropping HT(and consequently disembowel) feels like either you go all out on SKS or nothing at all

the rotation itself is quite straight forward, HT > CT combo > WT > FC > FT combo > FC > WT > HT ... etc in regards to the ogcd management, it can change drastically depending on the encounter but the "general" opener i use is here: ffxivrotations.com/r5t mantra = dragonsight power surge (RIP) = mirage dive

I've seen all the jobs putting a lot of dps but the dragoon seems like the under performer this time around... WELP, maybe I will change to tank or samurai.

usually its because im getting overcapped stats on the crit value currently im going by my feels when it comes to melds, but i equally value direct/crit hit since they both scale exponentially

thanks! ff has the hotbar skills set from left > right by default so for the left hand side hotbars i just shifted everything over to center it in the middle the GK/MD hotbar is just a UI increased hotbar that goes behind some other things

Feels like drg is one of the lower dmg dealers now when comparing to other classes, any thoughts on this?

comparatively, it definitely feels underwhelming alot of the drg weaknesses are apparent from phase changing and rng mechanics which lock you out of your planned rotation (susano ex jail for example) comparing that directly to its 'role' competitors such as ninja and samurai, the latter both excel in almost any given content simply because of their rotational and execution flexibility which drg lacks lets not talk about monk till 4.2 lul

I was looking at other parse videos here on YT and I'm not seeing that many that are a lot higher than this... Some are a little higher, but only by hundreds, and there is no accounting for player-skill or iLvL.. I think its pretty balanced.

Yea I know longer feel the same way about drg damage anymore, this was asked at the start of StormBlood where damage was lower than many other classes when I was parsing. With the recent changes to some skills, gear bis, and overall less downtime on the savages drg are able to compete with the other classes now.
