I would highly recommend you get a copy of Kastner's book "Understanding Our Unseen Reality" (www.amazon.com/Understanding-Our-Unseen-Reality-Solving-ebook/dp/B00TZPIOM2 ) I've read many books about the nature of reality, but nothing compares to this one about the Transactional Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. TI considers each spacetime energy exchange as the realization of one among all possible transactions between an emitter and all potential absorbers. The possibilities are managed in the non-observable quantum realm, and when virtual exchanges meet certain restrictions, they are introduced into spacetime as real energy exchanges. The crucial point to get from TI is this one: what materializes in spacetime each time is not a unique event, but two events (emission and absorption), separated by the spacetime interval that express the exchange of energy that took place between emitter and absorber. I, personally, have another reason to think this is the correct way to understand nature. Five years ago (before even knowing TI existed), I reached the same conclusions, but following a different route: Back in 2015, I was wondering about the true meaning of the constancy of the speed of light. I was trying to imagine how light experiences our universe (the same thought that led Einstein to develop Special Relativity), when I realized that, precisely by SR, any quantum object travelling at the speed of light would experience maximum length contraction and maximum time dilation, so it would "feel" no time or distance on its trip from emission to detection. Quanta going at the speed of light know nothing about space or time dimensions! This remarkable fact triggered a "chain reaction" of thoughts that finally led me to reach some perplexing conclusions for massless quanta going at the speed of light. I was able to find clear explanations for entanglement, nondeterminism, wave/particle duality, wave function collapse, Bell's theorem, faster than light communication, EPR paradox, Scrhödinger's cat experiment, double-slit experiment, delayed choice experiment... I think my intuitions worked correctly because, in the end, I reached the same key concepts exposed by Kastner for TI: When you consider that both emission and absorption are required to develop any energy exchange, and that the exchanges we obserbe as spacetime intervals are, at the same time, instantaneous single events taking place "outside spacetime" for the quanta involved, you can get a clear understanding of almost all the misteries of the quantum world.
