4.7 - Everything Is Wrong With Natlan's Dragons | Genshin Lore & Theory, Natlan, Saurians. 

Something interesting I don't see people talk about in regards to Pyro is that we ALREADY have evidence as to its strangeness. The samachurls (little hilichurl mages who attack you using elemental damage purely, except for swinging their staff at you) all use separate elements, yet if we look into the enemy archives, we see that samachurls use every element... except Pyro.

The ideal of Natlan is "War", but hasn't yet emphasized the destruction or suffering of war. Instead, it emphasizes the "evolution" that war brings. I suspect that, similar to the Electro and Cryo ideals, the Pyro ideal has changed slightly over time (Makoto sought transience, where Ei sought eternity). In this way, it could be seen that the old "Evolution" pyro archon was killed by the current one- proving that "War" was the ultimate form of "Evolution". In reality, war and evolution are one and the same, only differentiated by the context in which we use the words. In the natural world, evolution goes hand in hand with extinction, much like how the spoils of war comes hand in hand with the suffering of the weak. I think we will be spending a lot of time watching NPCs yap about these concepts in the coming year. In this theory, the Saurians simply embody the core theme of the region. It's probably that there was once only one common ancestor Saurian species, being a pure pyro elemental. However- it went exctinct, and "evolved" in multiple ways, each one superior in their own niche.

My theory is that Saurian used to be pyro Vishap but have been evolved into Saurian by humans a bit like what happened with Bathysmal Vishap. I suspect the pyro dragon may also be ☠️.

I find it funny how people are judging Natlan just purely on the teaser. Like ‘cutesy dragons, it must be bad’ kind of thinking. Like this is hoyoverse we’re talking about. There are gonna be tears.😭

The pyro saurian appears around 0:20 of your video, just that it is soaring the sky.

So we are completely glancing over the fact that we have 3 saurians left to be revealed, and also that we are literally swimming through lava during the hydro saurian showcase?.... Yeah sure buddy

Literally every single one of the saurians we see in the teaser use pyro, what do you mean there doesn't seem to be a unity of pyro or pyro theming? The Geo one melts the rock forming a lava surface while underground, the Hydro one looks half lava half water in the thumbnail and swims in both, and the Dendro one burns the plants as it uses them. Also, "home to fire-breathing Saurians" doesn't mean all Saurians breath fire... It just means there are some that breath fire in Natlan.

I already had a theory on my comment on another video, so I'mma just paste it here. Here's some thing that I noticed. All of the saurians that we see contain some traces of pyro. When the geo one dives in the ground, it splashes some pyro into the ground it swims through, texturing the ground into an orangey and molten color. The hydro one has some bits orangey color in the crevices of it's blue skin too, and can even dive in lava, not just water. The green one, probably dendro, related to our terrorshroom friend has some orangey color to their overall design: the inside of it's mouth, it's long rope-like ability, and the round thing that it grabbed. Maybe that orange thing sealed inside that blue round stone is infused with pyro, and provides the saurian with energy to jump in the air. Lastly, that flying thing we saw at the end, it looks like it will be one of the 6 saurians too, like the three we were just shown. Maybe that'll be anemo, since anemo loved to swirl and absorb the element it's infused with and retain their color. Making it look red-orange instead of the typical color coded design an element is designated to. Basically, we will have all the elements as saurian companions in natlan, only except for pyro. Since pyro is present within all of them, and is the main theme for the region of pyro. Fitting because we'll have 6 pyro infused saurians in the 6th region so far. Unless we get it as a special saurian after the story? Could it be that we get it from the pyro sovereign or xbalanque, and receive a pure pyro saurian companion?(maybe we might even have the pyro sovereign as our companion!)

there is a pyro one its in the start of the trailer due to it being a phoenix and being tied to murata because in the cinematic the saurian flies to capitano then murata appears so im pretty sure the only missing saurian is cryo or anemo depending on what the giant crested one in the top right might be

I wonder with it being the nation of war if its going to have war games like gladiatorial combat and other such things

Rathalos mention! Yep when they were shown they reminded me of Monster Hunter Stories cos of Rathalos-looking saurian that flew by

I think other comments have also stated that all saurians should probably have at least a little bit of pyro in them and that they will represent reactions of pyro with the other 6 elements (Vaporize, Melt, Burn, Pyro Swirl, Crystalize, Overload) And I think the pure pyro dragon or saurian could either be the pyro sovereign (maybe Xabalanque) or since we all know every archon so far isn't really human but some form of elemental being that took or created a human form, such as Venti being a wind spirit, Ei and Makoto pure incarnations/embodiments of lighting, Nahida and Rukha being the Irmensul avatar, specifically a branch of the Irmensul; Furina/Focalors being an oceanid that took on a human appearance and body, we don't know what Egeria was, but some have theorized that she might be the first Oceanid because of her tears that created the others, and Zhongli is a complicated one because he has the archon form, Human form , the form of the Adepti dragon has been confirmed to be his main forms, but none of them the original or real one, which means he is a shapeshifting being (it fits the element perfectly, because stones, metal, stone, clay- in other words earth can be shaped to take many different forms) So that means that Muarata could be the pyro saurian or dragon turned into a human form

This missing surian is the cryo one. We could see a flying red one the looks like its the pyro one

The problem is.... we already have that quality in the Geo Vishaps and these are a pure lineage, and given that we know that each of the Dragon lordes preside over their respective element, I think that's a bit ar off.

I feel like there's gonna some kind of banished tribe in the Mare Jivari who used to ride the forbidden Pyro Saurians or something like that. Hoyo has a habit of doing the secret lost part of a larger group thing

We probely only get 3/4 pyro user there as always the Nastion we visit never have the majority of there own Vision *Mondstadt:* Venti, Jean & Sucrose *Lyiue:* Zhonli, Ningang & Yunjin *Inazuma:* Ei, Yea Miko, Sara & Kuki *Sumeru:* Nahida, Tighanari, Collei, Alhaiten, Kaveh (belive the only nastion who have the most of there kind but it make sceme due fact Dendro was not release till that moment) *Fontaine:* Furina, Neavilette, Sigwinene Natlan: Arcon, the 2 person who know or at least ahve info about them & something in between ???

hmmm this has to do with Celestia. Some dragons chose a more "enlightened" path if you so will, and the other dragons think they are silly and they turned out to be right so there is that. The dragons that did not commit to a bond with Celestia turned out more like animals this is Hoyo's way of once again point to the natural order being the only solution to all the chaos abyss has created. Hydro dragons had their primordial water tainted with human memories resulting in a Melusine which as I understand is a devolved form of hydro dragon that also want's to mimic human behaviour because of that taint. This is not really the dragon way or how they were supposed to evolve. I think it is Theyvat's safety mechanism to return to the natural order, so it tries to repair what is broken by rebirthing dragons again. A Melsuine has a long way to go before it can compare to Scylla or Neuvilette in terms of knowledge and power however it is a start.
