Absolutely true info. I have an XL now, he is what I would call my apex dog after nearly a lifetime of owning dogs that led to me being able to handle this type of dog. They are NOT for everyone. They're great but you need to have the strength & background to handle properly.

My next door neighbour had a Bully (as it turned out, XL) puppy, and as we lived in a relatively isloated area our dogs (I had three) were allowed to run around freely, and next door neighbour's Bully puppy spent many nights at my house and used to join my dogs and I on our daily beach walks. In short, I loved this puppy from a very young age. The Bully grew larger and changed from the 'love everyone/everything' to become occasionally aggressive towards people he didn't like and (as I found out later), dogs he didn't like..... On one of our beach walks, he became very aggressive towards a man carrying a hoe. I was able to get him on a lead, but it took all my strength (plus the coefficient of lying on my back, in the sand) to hold him back. Consequently, I had to tell my neighbour that his Bully could no longer join our walks 😞. My neighbour was deported and, long story -short, I had to adopt his Bully, as there was nobody else to adopt him. Our (my other dogs and myself) lives have changed dramatically as a result. No more freedom for any of us 😞. We're all locked behind my garden gates, and I rarely leave the house because he occasionally attacks my other male, very small dog - who, when they were both puppies - used to be his best friend! Weirdly (and thankfully) he's meek towards my two old, female dogs. And then I discovered that he has hip dysplasia.... Obviously there is no cure for this, so I have to pay for expensive supplements to help ease his condition. In short, I entirely agree with this video. Bullies need the right 'owner'.

A dog you cannot control is a potential legal liability. A lawsuit can cost you a LOT of money and the dog ordered destroyed by a judge.

Food is super important for this type of dogs. My dog is not a bully it is a Pitbull Rottweiler cross first generation but he suffered from the tick medicine. His stomach got ruined now luckily I found a solution for his problem it is raw beef only. It is not cheap to feed 3 to 4 pounds of beef every day and he is only 80 pounds. I can only imagine a 120 pound dog eating 6 pounds of beef a day.

My xl bully is a big dog.. so big that you do need strength to own one if something goes wrong or he gets too excited. (The only other person I let walk him is this Ironman athlete I know, lol.) I also found that he's not a dog you could own and then just not train, because an out of control dog this size would be both a genuine danger and cruel to the dog. He was definitely one of the easiest dogs I've ever trained though.. he's always so eager to work and please.

question, my dogs dad was a XL (100lbs+) and the mom was a terrier but weighed around 70lbs. I want to breed my dog with a XL stud, by any chance will her pups be bigger since the “XL” blood line is stronger? Or are her pups going look like a terrier? She weights 78 pounds and she’s a year old. Any tips to improve the begging of my Kennel / breeding 🙏? Love your videos by the way, they’ve been helping me train my dog with ease

If they're well trained, why would they need stronger leashes🤔?
@topbullies8536
@topbullies8536 Год назад
because they can chew it up, leashes can drag, get stepped on…. Etc.

@@DougHinVA no they are simply stronger animals it doesn't matter if they are trained A cheap leash used for a yorkshire terrier is not going to work for a bull dog. One dog is simple more powerful. It's reckless to use anything not strong enough to hold back the animal--that's the whole point of a leash. You do not use a tiny thread to hold back a lion.

All xls are different but any dog can have problems either from the parents or how they are raised. I love my 2 xls. But do research before you get them.

Hello! I'm sorry but with all respect due, I have to disagree a bit. All our brother dogs are different. My big boy is a xl, quite impressing stance and muscle mass. He is about 7 now (not quite sure but he came with me from a rescue shelter. He was alone ans had lost a LOT of hairs, bare skin about a little everywhere, you got the picture... 🥴. We used to live in our home in the country with lots of space around. Long story short we now live in a 22ft camper and he is perfectly happy and does not want to eat that much food either. He drinks a lot though. Just to say those gentle giants are VERY adaptative to where they feel It's their home. As long as you stay attentive to their needs and get very involved in the relationship, I think they can adapt to almost anything. All they want from us is truth and love. The rest does not mind. At least this is how I see them. Thank you for caring for them. They are a wolla creature! How intelligent and sensitive. A very different breed indeed.
