@@SubhankarMondal1205 dude get some knowledge & do research, every big company takes a test for getting into it, where they ask only 2 things at start(to shortlist candidates) 1) aptitude (20%) 2) DSA (80%) If you get shortlisted here then further process are done(for 99% of roles) even in financial roles tooo The reason is DSA improves our critical thinking & analysis! Hence most of them prefer it, in order to get the best candidate for their company
Many corrections required for younger generation: 1: Packages are in USD. So first divide it by 82 (USDINR) and consider cost of living in US. 2: Fixed component is less than half of the package offered. 3: Rest of the package is conditional and takes time to realise (like loyalty bonus/esops etc) These packages are offered so that company can build its brand name not because they really found genius.

College matters guys. I did CSA from India's best institute i.e Indian institute of science, Bangalore (IISc). I got an amazing offer from Siemens. Maybe one of the best domestic packages. Can't disclose the exact amount but givint you an idea, more than 65 LPA. So study hard and get into the best like IISc, IIT delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras etc

These are only handfull of students(can be counted on fingers). Rest struggle, some commit suicde, while some even sell vegetable, one student got Job of trackman (any 10th pass student can do that). No placement in core branches..Lot of IIT student again get into coaching as teachers.

That’s HFT job placement in US, not in India. These companies provide early high earning potential but limited upside on engineering vertical. People earn high early on and switch out due to burn out or career growth ceiling.

That's not for quantitative trading but for programmers for program these systems since these companies have lot of money and no shareholders asking for cutting cost they give huge packages to programmers coming back to job role mentioned, if it's modelling then PhD from ivy institute and quantitative field is required and if trading then business degrees are required
Quantitive trading can be a disastarous career for many its a good career for someone from MBA in finance or Maths person with interest in finance. Isme job bahut jaldi jaa sakti hai. Its really not technical. More like a pure maths field.

Guys dont be happy , around batch size of 400 , only 2-3 gets above 2-3cr , and average package in iit is 20-30 lakh , In IIM also in a batch size of 100-200 (only 10-12) get above 1 crore package , average package in IIM A IS around 45 lakhs
