These videos make us think that happiness really is in the simple things in life, like being in the middle of the forest with no plans, just walking and listening to the sound of the lake and the wind against the trees or, after a long day, sitting under the tent and drink coffee with freshly baked bread. Another masterpiece of filming brought to us by Swedwoods. That beautiful opening scene of water lapping against the broken bits of ice was like natures very own wind chimes very melodic. You always strike me as a person who is very talented at whatever you do in life regardless the task you master it. As with all your videos, Thanks for shining the light. I'm getting old and backpacking has become a memory, something to watch other people enjoy. For me, what you share has become so important. I still canoe camp, oil lamps, canvas tent, cot!!, cooking on wood fires. I expect to do that as long as I can stand (and my wife lets me). For all of us keep on exploring.

It is very important to live in harmony with nature. and the music of ice, water and stones is perfect

It's much better doing things because we enjoy them. I was once a great fisherman and almost went pro, but every time I competed, I wasn't happy. The stillness and the serenity of time on the water was what I loved, not the trying to win money. Great video, sir.

In the spring when the ice starts to melt in the bays they make that wonderful sound, we call them growlers. Cheers from da ROCK!

Ewan is correct, the ice is like nature's xylophone. The overall soundtrack was winds on the water, very evocative, good suggestion for the headphones. The food was simple and tasty, perfect for a quick trip. And what's not to love about squeeze-tube Bacon Cheese! Sorry the fish weren't biting, would have loved to see how you incorporated them into the toasted bread and cheese. ;-) Hope you find your original motivation, and express that true passion with your new skill set. Most importantly, if you enjoy doing it, we will enjoy sharing it vicariously with you, my friend!

Thanks for sharing your wonderfully soothing experience again Swedwoods! As others have said many times, your videos have an very calming effect and allow those of us who can’t get out to wildcamp in such remote places very often to live vicariously through you! I have a request for you; please could you try to capture more of the wildlife you experience on your walks? Even if it’s only field signs? We are so nature-starved here in the UK, the sight of more plants and animals from your pristine forests would add an extra layer to your films. Thank you again.

I'm late to the party, but what a party! Thank you for the headphones suggestion at the beginning, the sounds you captured in this are amazing to hear in their purity. The content certainly has an earlier feel of your videos to it, but with the advancements in your videography and editing that you have grown with each video. What I found really cool was how you would give a wide lens type shot with the all the sounds, but then highlight some of the unique features that are making some of what we are hearing so it wasn't a sort of anonymous general background audio. It still amazes me how you can have a silent channel that is about landscapes and vistas, telling the story of your trip, a fishing show, cooking with Swedwoods, camping, canoeing, bushcrafting, and tutorials without using subtitles, banners, bubbles, or looking like some sort of bizarre exaggerated wilderness mime. There are very few silent channels that do as well on the one or two things they focus on as you manage with all combined. I really enjoyed this one, thanks!

Also since it's almost time for birch to pop out it's spring leaves, I suggest making some birch leaf tea if you can. But you can't really boil the leaves, just add young leaves to like.. 80 degree celsius water or you'll boil away the benefits. It's good for digestion and is also anti-inflammatory. Tastes good too. :)
