Not sure where you photographed the tube floaters but everyone who lives in Asheville knows you don’t swim or float in the French Broad River because of the high levels of eColi. Whenever they test the water it’s always in the red.
That’s sad. I use to tube down the French Broad 2011-2014. Never noticed anything abnormal about it back then but can see where pollution has picked up.
DuPont is not actually a state park, it's a state recreational forest. The name originates from the fact that the DuPont company arranged the sale of the original tract to the state.
As someone who lives just outside of Asheville this was fun to watch! I highly recommend trying Taco Billy next time you’re in town! I prefer them over white duck personally (zero offense to white duck!) and they have delicious veg options! The plantain shells are delicious! Also, if you hit dupont again, drive into flat rock/Hendersonville for flat rock bakery, great food and super cute place to eat (+ easy drive back to AVL). Fun video! 😊
Just love your camping vids. We are actually going to RJ Andrews in Cashiers because of the video you did . Can’t wait , we’ll be there next month . Thanks , Ann
Mars HIll! When I arrived in Asheville the newspaper, Asheville Times, announced that Mars Hill just got electricity. I drove a taxi in Asheville while chasing a girl in Cullowhee, south of Asheville.
Hey Crosby - love this snapshot of Ashville and Blue Ridge camping. I'm a lifelong west coaster and have only very occasionally travelled the east, mainly for work events so the closest I've come to Ashville was trips to meet with customers in Newport News and Savannah but I've read lots about RV'ing and roadtripping the awesome Blue Ridge so it's def on my bucket list. I'm curious if you are a fan of NC due to going to college there? Any suggestions for other things to do/places to see in NC or in the region generally? You appear to be completely and happily at ease in this vid so I wonder too if you put your editor to work in putting this all together or if you have the time and peace of mind now after the hectic Bali trip burn that prompted your business changes? Anyway, I'm happy that you're happy and wish you and yours much happiness and the achievement of your goals.
Thank you!! Honestly I didn’t explore NC much until after college (weird I know haha) but my family and I started coming here during COVID and fell in love! And yes my editor did this video which has been very helpful for me to focus on other areas of my business 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video!
Fresh.. look that up. If you microwave it???? It IS NOT FRESH! I love your adventure, I’m from here. That just tainted my whole experience. Asheville is now “beer city USA”. Awesome! I hate big cities but I’m proud when they do it right. They do it right!
Neophyte life is great isn't it? Just remember to honor all those who made these days possible (blood, sweat and tears) for the life you now take for granted....
Hey there, Crosby I just wanted to say excellent job on your blog new friend here, im from Asheville NC small world after all, hopefully you enjoy your trip.
No, I moved here from Daytona Bch FL 4 Years ago. The humidity doesn't even compare!!! The weather here is nearly PERFECT. It is drier here and more days of Sunshine by far. I like that you can do activities here year round outdoors. Summers here do get hot but still have cool mornings and evenings. The mountain air and higher elevation keep the weather nicer in the summer
@whitneyschwartz6572 I replied above but wanted to mention high falls too, both it and triple falls are really close to each other, she maybe showed both, I don’t remember lol
Dupont State Forest. Three waterfalls: High falls, Triple Falls and Hooker Falls. An even better hike is at Gorges State Park. Rainbow Falls , Turtle Back and Stair Step falls. You can slide off Turtleback and cliff dive off the side of Rainbow.
Asheville was once a great little town. Now it's a horrific place full of crime, illegal drugs, and disease. Most of us locals avoid Asheville at all costs.
I try to avoid downtown Asheville because of all the entitled tourists. They clog our roads, using a turn signal is foreign to them. They drive up the prices for us that live locally because they spend big money for the trinkets sold in the hipster stores
@@JohnDoe-wy2pyY'all are all bitter and spew the same hive mind comments about Asheville seen in any comment section or discussion board that mentions the town.
Trashville, the sewer pipe of NC. This place needs more residents. The great leaders have now passed Reparations. All people who are not of, well you know, will be taxed for historical ownership of humans in the past. Yes you’ll have to pay even if you family never had, well you know.
@@whitneyschwartz6572 Whitney, my favorite waterfall near Asheville is High Falls, which is in Dupont State Park near Hendersonville, NC. My other favorite is Catabaw Falls near Old Fort, NC.
@whitneyschwartz6572 It’s triple falls in dupont which is between brevard and Hendersonville! Beautiful area! There are multiple falls right in that area!
