All of the videos I took while up in Southern Illinois around my high school alma mater are included in this video. Y'all will see 60mph Canadian National freights, 79mph Amtrak Illinis, Salukis, and both City of New Orleans trains dashing by on the CN Centralia Subdivision through Carbondale, De Soto, Du Quoin, and Dowell, IL. Even AMTK #156 makes an impromptu appearance on the City of New Orleans! Plus, some action on the Union Pacific Mount Vernon Subdivision in and around De Soto is also featured as the UP line crosses over the CN line at the north-most end of the village of De Soto, making for an interesting over-under type shot if a CN and a UP train somehow meet at the same time, of course. That may not have happened, BUT I'm happy with what I've got. It was good to be back and I'll surely be back soon enough for some more!
