It's large crystal sugar, or coarse sugar. Basically the same size crystals as kosher salt. It's used as decoration, and can come in many colours as well as plain white.
Y'all don't hate on them just because they didn't make the pie crust, making pie crust takes a lot of work, time and energy, I should know😂 so you can't blame them for wanting to make things easier😊

I’m sure even tasty producers make mistakes, I mean look at their Behind The Scene videos they make mistakes when cooking, but making mistakes when cooking is okay, you’ll learn from THAT mistake
So update, I kept beating it and never got what you got!!! so I added butter and it started to look close, so for everyone don't believe what you see in RU-vid, it looks nice but in reality is a different story. Also my final product does not look any close to yours. if you want to make Cinnamon Rolls sauce then add butter even better a cheese.
sugar,water and corn syrup (i dont know measurement),bring to boil until its brown,then add heavy cream and quickly stir,then let cool and it should be good
