I've watching Jimmy for too long to trust him when he says he's gonna leave the engine alone for a while. "I just want to enjoy it" means he's gonna tear it apart in the next video.
I feel like he might stay true to it on this one. Everyone knows rotary’s are complex, expensive, both combined usually means a long project. I’d bet money he’s already stashing parts away for it though😂
Came a long way jimmy.. went from having 1 300z.... to 3 s15s, 5 240s, 2 300z's, a r33, 2 bmws, a 350z, a chaser, thr honda, a 86, a rx7, diesel mazda, 2 mini trucks, a brz, a nice tow truck and trailer. and I'm sure I'm forgetting a car or two but super pumped and happy for you.!!
Are you planning on making the speedo work? I'm sure there has to be an off the shelf solution for that. I know that doesn't matter to a lot of people swapping drivetrains, but I like having all my gauges working and no christmas tree lights glaring at me all the time. to me that puts the icing on the cake.

The logo may not be there because the sleep settings in the headunit are setup to 1 day. Then it will stay in a “sleep” mode when u turn off the car for one day until it fully shuts off. You can find this in the settings app on the headunit. Had the same issue on mine :)
@17:37 idk if you already have them, but you can get a kit that allows you to plus in headphones to your dyno and physically listen to your motor for detonation. or pinging while doing pulls. my tuner has this. we use it while dyno'ing our 300zx builds. anything over 17-18 psi on pump gas ALWAYS starts to detonate, you literally hear the pinging in the headphones. then you know EXACTLY when and where to adjust your tune values. this is Essential for pump gas tunes!!! ESSENTAIL!!
Jimmy you need to get yourself a fuel tank to keep e85 in with a normal gas station style pump for the shop, I don’t want to hear the excuses of “I’m keeping it on pump gas because I want this car to be grocery getter” From someone who lives in Ireland where we don’t get any form of e85 the closest we get is super expensive race ethanol, you don’t realise how lucky you are!
Even just one of those tanks ruddy has in the back of his truck would be good enough to keep some e85 around for a few cars. He should just get one of them, can fill up at the track as well that way if needed.

Too see the logo on the headunit you have to wait over day or two before turning it on.. As it only pops up after full power downs.. It stays on standby for a day for fast boot ups.. Or you can press the restart button on the swipe down notification drawer thing
Big props to you for being respectful of that company’s reputation in regards to the issue with the throwout bearing/ kit especially considering they took good care of you after I’m sure you approached them in private. A very wise and valuable lesson for people who may be new to building cars or working with companies. Always respectfully and kindly go to them in private before bashing them publicly. 9/10 you’ll be taken care of and then some.
on the Chinese android radios the logo doesn't show with key on and off because the radio isn't doing a full off and on cycle. the memory wire being hooked up keeps the radio in a sleep mode so it boots faster.

I think it needs a nice set of BC coilovers but make it the stock height. Measure it up on stock suspension change it and make it stock height. Kinda handle good but also look standard.
The Atoto is an okay headunit. The manufacturer logo feature only happens when it has been off for awhile, not when it's just been off for an hour or so, so that way the quick bootup functionality still works.
The only gripe that I have is related to Carplay / Android Auto, and Dark Mode. It seems to constantly default to light mode no matter what is set up in the AA app or on the head unit. It's really bad at night when you don't want the sun in your face.
But dont we know why the throw out bearing failed? Not from drifting but when it slipped out they pry barred it back in and he showed concern in the ring spinning. So wasnt it not a defect but user error?
Once the wheels and coils come for this car, it’s gonna look so dope, knowing jimmy he’s gonna slam it dirt low too. Can’t wait to see it slammed boosting around!
Jimmy if you see this get ahold of me somehow. I didn’t know that 2j oil caps were a non existent thing. My buddy and I have a cnc machine and can make whatever design or type of 2j billet oil caps needed or wanted by the people and we can make a lot of them. Great content as always. Love your channel.

Those Atoto double din's are lots of value for money. Until it's anything below -5C and you gotta wait 20 min for your interior to warm up to the point the damn head unit works again.
It doesn't sound bad, it just doesn't sound like what the motor is supposed to sound like. It literally does sound like a straight-piped 350Z, which is so freakin' weird! Can't wait until he does another exhaust on it so it can sound like a real 1JZ. I love how 1JZs sound when done right. I might like them better than 2JZs, lol.
