Ubisoft 2011: Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? Ubisoft 2020: Another assassin's creed, another ghost recon, another far cry, another watchdogs.
Aleksandar Ninković because his face looks more manic in the trailer where as in the game it’s less animated. I think the real problem was the game itself though, it was advertised like a realistic survival game, kinda like the direction Far Cry 2 was heading, only with more depth and an actual villain, someone you are gonna run from and to fear. Where it’s less about shooting and more about stealth. Instead you just pick up guns and shoot the shit out of goons like they’re nothing at all and team up with your California teenager friends and blow shit up to dubstep. I was so annoyed. Nearly 10 years on and I am still miffed about it.
@Aleksandar Ninković Yeah his animations are more stilted in the retail version, so his performance is a little less impressive to watch when in the final product he looks robotic compared to the fluidity to the not as graphically impressive but much more animated e3 version.
The downgrade video wasn't comparing Vaas graphically, rather how expressively bland the retail version is in comparison with the E3 one. The retail version is only moving its mouth, tracking his dialog, no facial expression whatsoever. The E3 version has attention to detail in his facial expressions, but looks off and more cartoony But between a better looking model and something that shows more emotions, I'll definitely pick the one that shows more emotions
JeDkGaming no, i mean Ass creed, at least cod gets a new weapon or jet packs in each iteration, ass creed is LITERALLY the same game from last year with a new title XD
JeDkGaming Ass creed unity is the same, i watched the gameplay demo too, its no different from the last 5 games XD same boring gameplay, same boring combat, same convoluted/overstuffed nonsense story, same outdated visuals
JeDkGaming i play Halo kid, and you know what? Advanced warfare actually looks pretty good XD much better than Ghosts, i might get it! don't be butthurt that A$$ creed is the same game every year XD
JeDkGaming don't get me wrong, Ghosts was a steaming pile of horse shit, but compared to A$$ creed? ghosts is a MASTERPIECE XDD don't get so butthurt I also like how you are copying me by calling ME "kid" Mimicry is a form of flattery
I worked at Ubisoft from 2015 to 2019. The reason this version of the game looks so good and different (minus Vaas's face compared to retail) is because this is a special made E3 build. Basically the way this works is that during development a build of the game will be copied and this new copy becomes an E3 build, devs come out and make the game look way better than it is. For this E3 Farcry 3 build more water effects got added to the water fall, ton of vegetation got added that moves with wind, helicopter is already landed when you go the town and things like that. This E3 was never going to be shipping. It is sort of like when you see the cover of a frozen meal and then you put it in the microwave and it comes out looking nothing like the picture on the box. I saw this and I basically did this for the Division 2. I worked on the E3 build for that game, the part in which you are in the capital and some fake players are walking by a shot down passenger plane. It was all fake, compare that part to the actual game. That build got actually destroyed after E3 and doesn't exist anymore
@@ariadarabi basically back then games got made to run on consoles and if the consoles can't run those effects at a locked (or close to) 30fps then they won't get added. During the Xbox 360 gen all third party games got made with the 360 being the set console of development and all other versions are just port of the 360 version. To you and I this makes no sense, there should be a PC version that takes advantage of the powerful PC hardware but the people who run Ubisoft and most game companies back in the day saw this as a wasted effort and it was cheaper to just release a PC port of the console version. Ubisoft at the time also had a very anti-pc policy since piracy was really eating into their sales. This is way before STEAM got so big. Finally remember that the Xbox 360 came out in 2005 so by 2012 the GPU tech had become extremely powerful compared to console tech of the mid 2000s but no game would take advantage of it. it was pretty depressing now that I think about it . Even Crysis 2 and 3 scaled back the world to make it work for the consoles something that was not the case for Crysis 1(2007) because that game's set hardware was the PC and not consoles
@@tHeWasTeDYouTh Oh yeah, I remember the anti-PC sentiment. Not just Ubisoft but a lot of developers and publishers avoided the PC because piracy was so rampant. Steam sort of fixed the piracy problem by mandating purchases on their store in order to display the game on a player's friends list. Before that, there was Xfire and we could just add anything we had on our computer to show 'X is playing Y'.
Hey, man! I wonder if you heard about the original version of Splinter Cell: Conviction which was a completely different game entirely. I wonder if Ubisoft destroyed that version, I think it was far in development and they cancelled it somewhere in 2008, after missing December 2007 release date.
@@kdscool1536 way before my time. Could an old build still survive in a hard drive? yes, but the chances are very low. Hopefully a dev made a copy and stole it and might upload it one day. It is not that uncommon.
What i just read? Do you know what evil means? Well the main antagonist just kidnapped the protagonist’s friends and his brother & plans to kill them. Is this not evil? Or is this evil? Check your comment
crowbcat's entire channel is about making E3 videos look bad. He's pathetic and makes money off of people like you. This is the actual E3 footage. Play the game and you can see that the final product is MUCH beter.
Angel Rivera there is 2 ways and speculations to the downgrade, they are lazy and make the game for the weakest and dont bother to add more stuff to fill in on the more stronger device with more grass and tree models. second is the engine cant handle it as its not only hardware limits in graphics its software to, as a engine not properly coded can cause similar errors or graphical glitches (shades flickers early in the demo is one) and outright crashes.
No, the knife in this video behaves like a bullet, perfect on target with no arc at all, that's not how thrown knives/axes/etc actually work, throwing something like that overhand means it should travel in an arc
Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity ? It's doing the same game, over and over again, expecting shits to change, that is crazy. The first time somebody told me about downgrade I tought he was bullshiting me so boom, I bought those games and...the thing is...he was right. Everywhere, everywhere I looked, all those compagnies doing the same money-making games, over and over and over again. This times its gonna be different, no no no please, THIS TIME, it's gonna be different.
Its interesting how Dan mentions the stereotypical plot point of a missing girlfriend, when in the final game Jason is much more impacted by his brother Riley. Liza gets rescued relatively early in the game.
+The ADHD Gamer Hes right lol. I played the game just now on ultra graphics and it looked waaaayyy better that this. Or maybe they did the gameplay on a console, that would explain it.
+Jack ripper as much as it is a 1 month old comment, I would still like to point something out. Watch dogs (made by the same company who made far cry ) looked absolutely beautiful during its development. When the actual game was released it was toned down and didn't look as good as it should have, but there was a switch in the scripting allowed those same graphics in the trailer to be turned on but no normal person with little knowledge of scripting and ect knew how to access it. My point is that when it comes to games being developed, the finished product looking better is not always the case.
@@maineman5757 not quite , maybe 4 was close but that also didn't have main charecter which has a character , you remember jason way better than ajay ghale or rookie from fc5
I remember watching this trailer when I was still a kid. My dad thought I was watching some movie or anything. Little did I know this was going to turn out to be my all-time favourite video game.
Hello Ubisoft. Can you please make Far Cry 3 finally remastered for New Consoles Xbox One and PS4 please? Not all of us have old consoles to play this, please do remastering so we can play Far Cry 3 in better graphic on Xbox One then was on 360 and ps3. Like if you want this to! Thanks!
well i dont know , i have original Far Cry 2 for Pc and its very very crappy game in my opinion. Best are FC1 , 3 , 4. thats it ,and yeah maybe Predator version.
we all came here to see how much more realistic vaas's facial features are when he's talking to you here in this press conference then when you bought the actual game
The graphics for FC3 sucked ass. I wish that we would have gotten these graphics in this video. Than having the shitty ones that we got. Thankfully FC3 is getting remastered for PS4 and Xbox one.
This version of vaas in the demo is way more expressive than what we got in the final game. Vaas in the final build always looked dead in the eyes to me compared to this erratic wide eyed look he had in the demo. Idk something about this one actually made him way more intimidating, like he was completely unpredictable.
@@3headedsnake388 you really need to watch this video and the Xbox 360 version side by side. this version has a lot more facial expressions and subtle eye movements throughout his speech. one example is when he says "I'm sorry, I don't like the way you are looking at me" right before he says that he glances over to the player. in the final version and the remaster, he doesn't do that subtle glance over. Towards the end when he repeats "did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?" in the trailer version he looks down for a moment and shifts his eye contact when looking at you almost like looking down at your face, not quite making eye contact because he is lost in his own thought process. in the final version, he just stares directly into the player's eyes, it changes the feeling slightly because one feels like a really unhinged sociopath who is intimidating you, and the final feels like a frustrated sociopath who is TRYING to intimidate you, it just doesn't come across as effortlessly as the trailer version. i agree that he is more wide-eyed in this version, but there is a lot of nuances that just makes it way more impactful of a scene. of course, the quality of the animation looks a lot better in the final version. even stuff like the hair on the side of his head being unkept or his tank top having holes in the back, adds a little more grit to his character compared to the final version which is a lot more polished looking but lacking those tiny elements to set the mood (he still has the tiny patch of hair on the side of his head by his scar, but its a lot shorter.)
@@brutpenta higher resolution and smoother textures doesnt make the final version look better to me, and certainly doesn't make the E3 version look less emotionally impactful, as stated before, E3 version has subtle eye movements that the final version doesnt, which really changes how vaas comes across during this conversation.
The Vaas here is a lot more alive and believable. His expressions, eye movement, all the minor changes in the face, compared to the stone cold retail one, that looks like a log.
+Asia K Shut the fuck up. I've seen many PC gamers move to console because it's a million times cheaper, yet the new gen consoles have amazing quality. You can say I have, too.
Down sampling happened. They do these demos on the very best of hardware to make them look better. If they had max mean max then they'd take a lot of crap. Crysis took a lot of shit because nobody could actually run max and people freaked out if they ran it on low even though Crysis low was more like a medium or high in its fidelity.
Things I noticed: civilians look less like Asians and more like Polynesians in the release, takedowns are VERY different, pirates design is different, and UI is different
This may be a old review but because I got this the minute it was released I’m allowed to. But I don’t understand why everyone is saying this Beta or Demo here has shittier graphics than the final release. You people need to get your eyes fucking checked, in this particular mission, Vaas’s face looks more detailed, to specify even more, his eyes are moving realistically (left, right,up,down) and hair, hell, even the fucking jungle looks more dense and the colors this demo shows are more realistic and vibrant. Hell what is also obvious is the sound and look of the Demo's AK-47, WAY FUCKING BETTER THAN THE FINAL RELEASE!! Another obvious spot out is the sound of Jason Brody's voice, watch on his left arm, and with what appears to be a sea blue dress shirt (and not a v-neck in the final release). If you have played The final release you'll know exactly these differences. But overall despite the changes BEST FUCKING GAME I PLAYED IN MY GAMING LIFE!
same here love this game its so deep and cool the story is the best ive ever seen and the gameplay i cant wait for far cry primal although no game can ever be better than this
+PC Principle even without the nostalgia feels, this game is completely a masterpiece! im also excited for Primal and i hope its not like Blood Dragon i mean i hope its not like extension of farcry 4 u know what i mean. Btw are you a Fallout series fan?
And i don't get how some people say Vaas looks the same here and in the final version... Can you people not see the difference?! Man you don't have to be an 8 year old to tell which is better. We are not talking about the face, we're talking about the expressions on this one compared to final, in this he looks at you straight in the eye and it moves... in the final all you get is (open close open close mouth) eyes not even moving just stationary.
Far cry 4 has better graphics, a bigger map, cooler animals(Elephants and rhinos), more guns and more vehicles. Far cry 3 has a way better story and a way more personality.
@Ertan Soner how is it shit. Its an improved version of far cry 3 with better graphics and more quests. Also the Himalaya mountain setting is pretty good. And of course pagan min
MayanAssassin252 a friend of mine told me if this kind of graphics were in the disc of a game and u play it on the console it'll probably break the console due to the fact it might not handle the quality
