Holy shit the fake chat/banter between teammates always drove me crazy. They are almost telling you that this is a performance instead of the real thing
It's useless to remove detail like that. It also wouldn't be shit on a gameplay perspective. The other plays know that the drones are gonna show up anyways. The trailer looks fluent smooth and the final product looks stiff and PS2 like. Still a good game but not what we paid for
its a fake hostage the storyline of r6 is that its a training operation, they changed the storyline since the trailer it was supposed to be a pve based game
I dont get it why the downgrade cant they just put a pc melting extra super ultra mode... or follow the crisis route ... or a special collectors edition high detail ... pc melting copy out there .... just for the games, gamers and arts sake ..... they are perfectly capable of showing us a treat then why dont they use it ? Fuck
@@hemantsarthak I don't think they make all the game with graphics like the trailer ones, just to trash everything and downgrade it. I think they just improve the graphics on certain parts they will show and then they downgrade that parts to be in point with the rest of the game
The change for Rainbow Six is dissapointing. 2024 Edit: As indicated by the scummy E3 footage deception, Ubisoft doesn't give a damn about Rainbow Six and ruined the game by turning it into a casual shooter + gacha game. Unpopular opinion, but the game has been complete dog ass since the Lion/Finka update.
@@jimmydarm watchdogs was one of the first games for the ps4 and Xbox one…. They advertised what they were working on at the time… but when push came to shove, the consoles couldn’t handle as much as they originally predicted… so the had to lower the graphics a bit to make the game run smoother.. it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out… and the game was still awesome and had really good graphics for the time….
Despite some parts of the vegetation, I really prefer the usual FarCry 3, Vaas for example, is much better looking in the actual game then he is in the trailer, he looks more realistic in my opinion
JPanda everyone should already know this like half the companies at E3 on both consoles PS4 and Xbox do this I'm a PS4/PCMaster Race player but I admit not just Xbox but PS4 devs do this sometimes too
These aren’t true comparisons, he didn’t even try to match time of day or DO THE ACTUAL MISSIONS! Of course it’s going to look different. There is no downgrade then or today
@Alex Williams lol what? Yes, some are different times of day but the effects aren't there at all. I guess you are technically correct because they're pre-rendered so you can't downgrade a render. But the end product was a downgrade from the presented product.
@@1Guason3 I guarantee the effects are there if you wait for time of day or go to a drain pipe that’s steaming. Division world is always going you just hop in(division actually has way more detail then this trailer). That police station I was going in the lock up area, the fitness, and the lieutenant’s office. In watchdogs just wait for rain, dusk, and the coffee shop to be populated it looks exactly the same. This is BS. You can make any game look this bad.
@Alex Williams I can't speak for the division. But I can speak for R6 and FC. I've seen those two plus more from UBI get downgraded. I love ubi, but I will never backup a studio that doesn't maintain its track record.
@@alexwilliams4729 Lol no. Watch Dogs literally has the E3 graphics settings hidden away, you can enable them on the PC version with a mod. Minus a few effects that were never implemented at all. But PS4 couldn't support that so was all stripped back. Division is just lifeless in the release version, all that movement and life in the environment is gone. Completely different map menu, numerous closed off areas from the demo. Plus the combat was completely faked.
not the OP but I play r6 almost every day, and it doesn't look anything like the e3 build. However, the game is still fun as hell. Also to the guy who said its infested with cheaters, Its not any more, not since battle eye
@SP he was stating that people dont normaly use the phrase 'brace for pvp' which leads me to believe the voice acting is very forced. take the stick out your ass buddy
I remember when I first saw the E3 presentation of Watch Dogs I was just stunned, I couldn't believe such a game was possible at that time. Turns out, it wasn't possible...
That’s why I stopped watching E3 after a while since it was just a bunch of lies regardless of what company presented their product. What’s the point of getting excited for something if they always under deliver compared to the presentations. Wait for reviews and player feedback ignore reviewers that are paid by publishers.
If you get the Watch Dogs Legion season pass, it will include a remastered version of Watch Dogs 1. It looks absolutely stunning like the trailers but better with the PS5 graphics. I was very impressed.
+Demerit Nation These are gameplay showcases, not trailers, and the differences should be in gameplay and potentially the layout of the maps, visual quality is assumed to remain the same or even get better. When you promoted your product having a certain level of visual quality and then sell a product that is obviously much worse, there is a serious problem. At the very least, it's unethical. Luckily the market has a way of catching up with companies that do this.
Johnathon Beaumont no because they don't say "product will look better" they say "May not reflect final product" Thus meaning it's still really scummy but it is legal
I’m not too fussed over it in the trailers, as they are supposed to be promotional videos, like adverts on your TV, but what I will say it is super unrealistic, like RB6 Siege chatter is nothing like that, In reality the game has a super toxic playerbase and people trash talk SO much, and if you don’t play the way somebody in the game wants you too (cause he believe he knows better) he votes to kick you and rages at you... that’s real chatter
@@nestormelendez9005 "Looks like I'm one of your Watch Dogs too" "This is a Far Cry from what I was expecting" "This is who we are. We live and die by the Assassin's Creed" "So you're telling me you're doing this for what? For Honor?"
Problem with old 2010s Ubi demos was that it was really obvious they were pre rendered because of how the “player” would, well, PLAY. Only a very few people deliberately play video games super slowly to make everything look cinematic. Their co-op game demos are another story though, i don’t think its a stretch to understand and replicate how friends actually talk to each other when they’re playing co-op. The random ai interactions that make the world seem immersive is another example, just don’t do it unless you’re sure you want to keep it in retail as its difficult to code completely dynamic moments like that. It’s cool for a demo yeah but its still misleading on purpose unless you inform the general public that chose to buy the product specifically cause of those immersive moments shown in the demo.
They weren’t pre-rendered. They were just heavily scripted in-engine demos ran on super beefy pcs with the graphics turned way higher than the consoles could ever be. Usually when it comes to the end of development, devs will heavily optimize the game to run well on consoles and remove a lot of the core visual makeup of the game. This would be fine if Ubisoft still allowed those high quality graphics on the PC version but they are almost always removed to keep parity with the consoles
Honestly Far Cry 3 looks good the way it released. Sure, there is waaay lass detail, but that's to be expected since it was made for 2012 hardware and the things that stayed the same (like Vass or the AK) look better in the release version. The trailer looks like a trailer and the game looks like a game.
The R6S one was so contrived lol. An actual session would involve screaming slurs at each other in voice chat and holding the most criminally insane angles.
r6 dialougue in the trailer: "theres a guy at your 6 watch out!!'' r6 dialougue in multiplayer: "lol just threw a grenade at the hostages face and he died lmao"
r6 dialougue in the trailer: "there is a guy at your 6 watch out!!" r6 dialougue in reality: "There is a guy!" "where??" "there!!" "WHERE!?!" "THERE!!" *gets killed* "told you."
Climatic Hawk come on its a cinematic build of the game half the time they aren't even playing it just runs on a PC and they stand there with a controller.
Farcry 3 still ended up as one of the best of looking PC game. Yeah, the visual has been downgraded, but that's understandable because they still need to optimize the game on PC and last gen.
U are your own fault, stop bying preorders and right after premiere games. Then u will know corpos mislead. Thats gonna punish those mf enough. And if product is not meeting expectations just buy another game from niche dev team and support little companies. Be free of this bs
It's annoying to say the least. That is why I don't judge the aesthetics of a game based on what is shown by the company but by how it looks on a Let's play
Lighting is even more important than texture quality, in my opinion, the thing is, a good looking, dynamic lighting, is difficult to make and heavy to support, that’s why most games have pale lighting, but never forgetting the hd textures, of course :/
@@artyom8905 Look at RE7, for example. Game has really horrible textures for many things, but the lighting and atmosphere literally makes it unnoticeable. Same goes for something like the BioShock trilogy for last gen
the rainbow 6 once still got me because when that girl is sniping outside of the house you know for a fact the entire time the team would be saying "what the fuck you doing, group up with team"
Man, I remember before the Division came out that I pointed out this exact same thing on that E3 trailer and got crapped on by everyone in comments. :/ Great to know that there are other sane people on the web.
I recently re-played FC3 as I loved it when it first came out but the lack of a real jungle in the game really took me out of the experience. I think the environment of FC2, for example, aged better than 3, but that the story kinda makes up for it.
Its just sad because we could definitely achieve games like this now, yet we dont because developers have learnt that we gobble all their stuff no matter what
@@kvlrr5437 Is zero hour multiplayer because I would love to get an actual tactical team shooter rather than unemployed 30 year-old men screaming at me because I picked a character in a videogame
@@hazart8909 It is a pvp multiplayer game. If you want a tactial team shooter i recommend Ready Or Not. Its up on steam for $40. You and up to 4 friends can go into a swat scenario to rescue hostage and/or defuse bombs in an allotted time frame. The only one with a timer is the bomb defusal one. You got to take everything slow, cam snake the doors, slowly peek a door incase there is a tripwire trap that will kill you and possibly your whole team, and you got to keep an eye on the hostages since they could be one of the bad guys in disguise.
@@hazart8909 Although Zero Hour did add a pve mode to the game kind of recently. The animations look a bit jank though from the videos that is on the steam page
Actually I like Ubi games, but I'm not buying everything and not in pre-order. I like two last Splinter Cells, I like Far Cry 3 and 4, Ghost Recon Future Soldier and of course I like The Division. Downgrading it is not a problem for me, games cause I'm not excited with graphics in trailer but with game features showed in trailer. And they never gave me up.
Yea, they have even changed features ingame... see watch dogs AI and weather and again see rainbow six and its destructibility. They have nerfed both games in features! I think you need to rewatch the video, because we don't speak only about graphic at all.
Frank Da Tank there is so much lens flare, lens flare, things that can distract the player which would make players stop playing plus to make it easier to run
Frank Da Tank If you go digging throught the files in R6 there will be some shit that you enable giving you the E3 GRAPHICS ONLY ON PC.....there's a comment above saying how. i got no time to explain
and the horrible lighting, where if you are outside and its sunny, you cant look into a dark room. you will just see jack ass. meanwhile if your inside, your 100% fine.
@MrHohum9: A lot of recent games seem to have that problem. Its probz trying to simulate the effect our own eyes produce in those situations, but just looks crap lol. I noticed this in FO4 quite a lot, and also in MGS5 (sometimes when walk out of a dim room into a sunny exterior or vice versa, its like going blind). I 1st started seeing this effect in the PS3 days, I've never been too keen on it, it makes the lighting feel fake as it keeps adjusting itself like theres some guy messing around with a dimmer knob.
whats interesting about sieges comparision is I honestly think on release sieges aesthetic and visuals were VERY similar to the trailer just over time the colors were dulled down and lighting made more flat for pro league. like old clips of night time cafe , favela, themepark had the visual fidelity of the trailers. I do really miss that artstyle so much, the art direction of release siege was industry leading
bought Watch_Dogs and that's it lol And to be honest if you overlooked the graphics, Watch_Dogs is a great game (the gameplay isn't as boring as claimed by many). Not to mention the city isn't your usual New York New York New York or LA LA LA
tv力EN I played watch_dog for 1 hour, it was the must boring piece of shit game I've ever played. The story is 1/10, gameplay is 4/10, and graphics is 1/10 (Everything looked like play-doh) I got the game for $1 at g2a six months after release, I regret buying that shit.
Id rather wait ANOTHER YEAR for games to be released if it means we get the same experience and shit they show on E3. At this point it feels like mobile add games..
its becuase ubisoft cant optimize their graphics to run on consoles so they beef it up in the trailors and then down grade it so it can run on consoles
How fucking hard is it to not buy a game for its graphics. If you buy a game for its graphics then you deserve to be disappointed. Graphics don't fucking matter, the game play does, and you can't blame it all on Ubisoft. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. By the sounds of things you were all surprised every time it happened, surely you'll eventually learn and not pre-order something you don't trust, especially for the graphics alone.
I'd call it anything but funny. It's pathetic to say the least. I think the marketing people at Ubisoft really think that their customers are stupid enough to believe all this farce. It's insulting.
+The Dark Gamer786 what does that even mean The issue here is that Ubisoft cheats us consumers by promising one thing, but giving a half-standard in actual. We're not(supposed to be) pushovers who stand passive receiving this nonsense and sinply "mod the game in PC" and avoid addressing the issue.
Dalziel45 The whole reason the games look so good to begin with is because they're designed to be on pc, then the downgrade the games to be compatible with consoles due to the drastically lowered capabilities of the consoles to begin with.
