Hi Bookaholics,
Come with me as I take you to a short bookshop hopping in MG Road ,Bangalore. I visited Blossoms,Gangaram's,Bookworm and Higginbothams. Later on, I shot a book haul video to show you the books I bought. I hope you like both the bookstores tour and the book haul.

Best review of Bangalores legendary book shops because you love and know books. Many others report on these shops but the real untold story is what drives people to read in bangalore ? Wish you could interview the people who read thete are names big and small.when the restof the world with short attention spans are busy with video games or whatever bangalore is the worlds best reading space with people in cubbon park reading silene shops offer a resale of the the book at half price. I love Bookworm, have books delivered from them regularly! I knew about Blossoms, not the other two. As a non-US/non-UK SFF reader, it can be so difficult to find physical copies of books other than the river site where they send damaged books sometimes! E.g. I have been looking for a decent copy of Annihilation for ages but haven't found it 😭. Excellent and informative vlog, thank you for doing this!

Are you from Bangalore? Yes. I struggle with acquiring good editions/special editions here in India. Another really sad thing is I couldn't get to Babel by RF Kuang yet because the physical copy was available only after October 16th!! So disappointed.

@@angiethebookaholic No from Bengal. Ah that's such a shame, sorry to hear it. This is part of why I have shifted to ebooks almost fully though I still maintain nothing can match the magical feeling of holding a book and reading it.

loved the vlog and i only knew about Bookworm and Blossoms, but now I know the other two as well :) gonna visit them soon, nice book haul. And can you tell out all these 4 book stores which one has the best collection for SCI FI? and is that Nambi Narayan's picture in the background portrait?

Hi Anwesh. Thank you and glad that you liked the video. For sci-fi , I would recommend Blossoms or Bookworm. Both have great collection of used sci-fi books. The portrait is of the trio - Periyar,Marx and Ambedkar.

P.S. I'm the weird SFF reader who didn't vibe with Malazan (DNF 25-30% into Book 1, had genuinely no idea what was going on) or Discworld (didn't like Guards Guards or Going Postal). I like ASOIAF, don't cancel me😄. Where did you find Senlin Ascends, I missed that Been searching for ages for that one too, Bookworm didn't have it.

There is no bookshops where they have specific section for those. But , the best bookstore I found was Blossom in Brigade road. It is huge and their collection is extensive. They have most of the latest books.
