Why do people drop their weapon just because they *think* the killer is dead and don't bother to check the body?

The real plot hole in “Get Out” is that the blind guy wants to take Chris’ body for his photography skills, but we’re shown that flashing lights can revert someone to shake off the hypnosis. That means that old, blind white guy is in for a big surprise the first time he snaps a photo.

I love Jordan's "hey there, nerds!" it's strangely soothing

I think the point of Get Out is to not damage the “host” by knocking them out, etc. None of the family members outside of Hill House want to return to be in purgatory. 9:30 the REAL plot hole in the ending of Glass is that everyone would believe that the leaked video was legit and not Cgi. In Invisible Man they make a point to count the suits as noted in the film.

The least believable thing about this entire episode is how Jordan managed to score the sweet-ass number "42069".

Jordan Peele has said that Chris was special and worth the effort, but he was very closed and slow to trust. That's also why he succeeded in the film. Her typical "hunts" go much quicker and she can often get away with dating a few guys at once, but Chris required all of her attention because he wasn't as trusting. Apparently he was valuable for multiple reasons, and Jordan joked that "yes, also *that* reason"... but he has an artistic sensibility, is physically strong and healthy, attractive and has further potential. Also, he had no family and only one friend. He was the perfect candidate and therefore, worth the time it took to lure him in. It could've been a bit more obvious, but all of that is pretty much in the film if you pay close attention.

I was on the impression that Hill House was like a living being that feeds on the spirits of people. Having your entire family die on the house and turn them into a ghost is akin to having them slowly digested through all eternity. I'm even pretty sure only the most recent ghosts had good intentions or "free will" while the older ones were basically husks of already devoured spirits that the house was manipulating in order to lure more people into it.

Hill house: Uh... yeah, that's the point. It's not a happy ending.

The thing about Rose is she could minimize the impact if she alternated between multiple close cities. If she were in the New York tristate area, she could grab victims from New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, maybe even as far away as New Haven. The other thing to remember is part of the narrative, and the whole message, is that black lives are valued less than other lives, so the idea that the police don't care about missing black people isn't a bug of the story. It's a feature.

the reason rose plays the long game is because rod is right and they are weird sex creeps but its not the mom its rose. hey could just abduct people but rose is into it for the love of the hunt. that's why she takes like 5 minutes between giving chris over to her dad and starting her cereal eating research for her next victim.

Someone finally acknowledges that the ending of Haunting of Hill House is not a happy one! Thank you!!! Also eventually generations will pass and somewhere down the line the descendants will forget the rule of keep the property and don't let people live there and the cycle will start all over again with new people in a haunted house and no idea about how to deal with it.

I didn't believe it was actually my dad until he brought up Heartland as my mom's favorite show. You can't argue with those facts.

Good to see you back even though the only one of these movies I have seen is _Get Out_ (and both other _The Haunting_ movies). So that's all I will talk about. To me, the _Get Out_ "plothole" isn't really a plothole outside of the fact that, yeah, Rose should maybe be under suspicion by police. It's possible they were paid off to look the other way though, especially since all of the buyers are rather wealthy & supposedly reputable people. It doesn't help that the missing people would turn up seemingly alive anyway even if the police went looking and that we have no idea how wide the family was casting their net across America. Also, it seemed pretty clear to me that Rose's parents *were* pimping her out since she was a teenager. As much as you joked about it, that seems the most likely case with it clearly having gone on for a while given the number of photos. I similarly wouldn't be surprised if they did it to their son too, unless double standards were involved, since it would help explain his clear anger issues. At the very least, that Rose and her brother are so mentally screwed up, likely at least in part by what their parents forced them to do, seemed clearly meant to be on another indictment on their parents only really caring about making money off their "positive" racism & what amounts to just another form of slavery. I can understand all of this coming off as a plothole though since none of it is explicitly explained, only implied, sort like Chris's conversation with the sole Asian guy. Still, I will take implication that doesn't contradict things over the overexplaining that happens at the end of _Us_ unfortunately. (I also wouldn't be surprised if Jeremy was stalking Andre for a while before he kidnapped him.)

In Invisible Man, how is it a plot hole? We don't know she gets away with it, just that the cop knows and let her slide. There are two suits, but the cops don't know that, even though the guy at the end saw it, he lets her go, no reason to think he'll change his mind, even if he did, it's still not a plot hole.
