Dear Roy, may I add my grateful thanks for the film. I have become passionate about motor sport, especially long distance races. I was 10 when this was filmed. Today 17/12/21, there are still people enjoying such treasures. Watching from Oxford UK.
If dishonest people stopped trying to pass off my films as there own, then I would not have to put the watermark. I made these films all those years ago and of course I don't like the watermark

Thanks for this, Roy. Somehow I haven't seen it before but have commented on your Crystal Palace clips where we must have been sat a few yards away from each other. This clip came up as a recommendation after I found a wonderfully funny clip of all the formula 1 team managers racing at Brands Hatch in identical Ford Escorts in 1971, with Graham Hill doing the commentary. I was shocked when I realised that it was from the meeting where Jo Siffert was killed. It appears that nobody - including the person who posted the clip - realised it.

Grazie Roy, rivedere Franco Lini mi ha messo una nostalgia pazzesca, forse è il ricordo di una stupenda intervista da lui fatta al mitico Gilles. Intervista in cui Gilles suona Summertime con la tromba con una dolcezza incredibile. Grazie ancora a te Roy per tutto quello che riesci a far rivivere nei nostri cuori, vedere tutti i piloti da te filmati è bellissimo e struggente, ma come diceva mio nonno nessuno è morto finché al mondo c'è qualcuno che lo ricorda.

Papà ancora corre (saltuariamente, proprio non si decide ad appendere il casco al chiodo) e proprio sabato compirà settant'anni. Lo sto cercando accuratamente tra i tuoi filmati per poi mostrarglieli a sorpresa al suo compleanno. Volevo proprio domandarti se per caso avevi pubblicato in qualche modo dei DVD acquistabili da qualche parte. Sarebbe bellissimo. In ogni caso glieli mostrerò qui su RU-vid e sarà contentissimo. Mio padre era ed è un caro amico di Lamberto lombardi che correva con un 2600 sprint da paura,penso che in classifica sia anche tra i primi della classe.Trasportavano lo sprint su un carrello trainato da un jaguar e mio padre lo ha accompagnato come amico e meccanico per qualche anno.Proprio quella gara era presente anche mio padre,che nello stupore si è pure ricordato che cambiarono la guarnizione della testata,hai altri retroscena di quella gara?grazie per questi ricordi
