Kevin you actually addressed what I was hopeing. I have an opel that is made with the wish bone on the top. It's a car originally built in 69. It has had a reputation to be " gonna be out of shape or out of shape". The second owner is known to quote this. My friend bought this car in 85 3rd owner and the wish bone has kinda bugged me since. I was thinking of adding a diagonal bar because just like you found it has side to side movement. I will be addressing this in the winter so I have time to do research. I want to keep the car original as possible because of its reputation. Now I know this could work. Upon my friend giving this car to me this year before he went to be with God, I told him I would run the car and if possible put a blower back on it in the future God willing. I don't want to wreck it, so i want to reduce that possibility. Thank you, it's been really helpful.

just my opinion i think if the front hiem was put in horizontally you would lose a lot of that movement for up and down movement some misalignment bushings and a high angularity hiem would take care of the movement.

Try changing to a higher quality SD card as the marginal cards will get hot and cause the GoPro to stop working as it can't write to the card. Also be aware that Amazon had some "counterfeit" SD cards that looked just like the real thing but will cause problem like you are having.

Why not make the lower bars like a swingarm on a dragster? Just put an X-Brace to tie the bottom bars together

What's the best metal material when picking 4 link bars for 900hp.

Hopefully you put the Diagonal link in same holes as your 4 like. Otherwise they are on 2 different planes and I believe will cause the rearend to move to the side at the launch and drive the car one way or the other. Probably to the right. Just my thought. I ran into this and I only had a Diagonal link no wishbone.

Jody is correct. That diagonal link must be in the same plane as the lower four link bar. Try to move the rear end through its arc. It will bind

I will definitely confirm one more time if the current diagonal bar angle is going to push the rear end over to 1 side. When I disconnected the shocks and sent it through full travel up and down I did not see any side push on it, but I will confirm that again for sure. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!

Thanks Kevin. By the way, your audio is just fine...video is great too. With the water flowing to the cross-over manifold are you still running a thermostat or a restrictor of some kind? Ooh, that side to side shimmy in the rear. Glad you caught that before you went down the track. Another great video. Thanks!!!

Looks like it's coming along man! I did notice a melted hose or wire though. At 3 minutes 28 seconds of the video you can see it. Driver side, right above your exhaust coolant fitting. Hopefully it's not important! Love your videos though!!!

@@KevinWilsonSBC Don't think yours is the same car unless your dash has been changed, got digging in old files this morning and seen the differences in the dash vs. your photos at the end of the videos. The Studebaker here in Southern Mo. is a Big Block Car and I haven't seen it for quite a while, it's disappeared... So had me wondering. Think it was built in Kentucky by a guy named Adkins. Have a Gmail? can send the 4 or 5 photos I have.

No one ever finished that wishbone. Those two long pieces reaching to the rearend haven't a prayer of keeping that whole chassis located over that rearend. Do a little research or thinking on how those 2 little tubes will flex with the entire weight of the car pushing them left or right. I believe there was a Billy the Kid video where someone had the wishbone unbraced like yours and they were flexing it by hand against the shop floor. Those long pieces that reach to the rearend have to be braced all the kits to build them come with enough tubing to make the braces and the bought premade ones from a reputable shop come braced.
