Here's a quick demo on picking an interior Kwikset (K1) doorknob. Kwikset has a reputation amongst lockpickers of being a good brand to practice on because of their simplicity and low skill required to open.
This is also a good lock to practice when getting started with bump keys for the same reasons.

I have unlocked it but it only turns the 90 degrees and still wont open. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Are you pressing down and right on the tension rod?

Do you have a recommended, or favorite pick set? Or have you put together different picks to create your own preferred set???

Over the last 1.5 years doing this, these are my go-to picks/wrenches that I always go back to. For tension wrenches, I prefer TOK (Top Of Keyway), and I exclusively use Peterson Prybars in 0.050" and 0.040". For picks, I use the following from Southord: MP-12, MP-07, MP-11, MP-02, MSL-06, MSL-09 These are in no particular order.

I should also mention that those picks don't work well (for me) on biaxial locks (such as Medeco). For Medeco/Biaxial locks, I use a modified version of a Southord MP-07 with a groove cut into the tip of it. If you don't feel comfortable modifying picks, peterson sells a pre-made one called a "Lifter DCAP 1" but that pick is a little too thin for my likings.
