It was a mistake actually by Carlini. Black should block with the bishop so the queen protects him. White can win after that. That wasn't a brilliancy for Carlini at all, black made it a brilliancy. This level of chess should be sub 1800 as that bishop move was very easy to spot.
One of the few brilliant traps by the Great Carlini. Awesome!!! I am a huge fan of him, personlality and chess skills! Also good job Boston Mike! I honestly thought Big Tex had him!
@Marshal Kim Jong-Un Psychology/play tempo: if you get your opponent to react quickly instead of pausing to think, it's a trap. Had Carl thought for a while and paused between moves, Ari would have calculated the correct path. Perhaps over-caffeination helps?😬
One day I was listening to a radio station, whilst washing the dishes and it so happened this jazz tune played. It was only at the end I realised that it was the coffee chess theme tune. So my question is; what is the name of the coffee chess theme tune?
Carlini knew 10 moves ahead that he would wind up with a fork with his horse and capture the Queen . And he saw it in 10 seconds . That is the difference between a very high rated chess player and me haha . All the respect to Carlini and off course Mike ! 💪👍🙏🇳🇱 Oh and thx for the 2 games 👍
white king has no choice but to take the rook on f1, and after, the black knight would fork the king and the queen, allowing him to be up a knight and a bishop
It's called a hustle, where you use quick play to panic your opponent into not thinking through all possible moves. Probably useless in tournament play where things are more sedate and loud excitement is discouraged.
At 10:10, block with the bishop so the queen protects him. White can win after that. That wasn't a brilliancy for Carlini at all, black made it a brilliancy. This level of chess should be sub 1800 as that bishop move was very easy to spot, even if time is less than a minute.
Boston Mike vs Big Tex: Last game with Tex and Mike on CC the engine read like a richter scale, with Boston Mike nabbing an earth shattering win. Big Tex never lets down for an even more dynamic game than his last, so this rematch should be nothing short of explosive. Let's see what's brewing on the board! The game begins with King's Knight Opening, Boston Mike (W)/ Big Tex (B). With an early exchange on C3, (w) Queen' bishop and (b) King's bishop. Both players picking up +3. Another quick exchange on d5. And its both players up again by +1. Then, on a7, Mike picks off Tex's a-pawn and King's knight from the board, with his K-bishop. Putting him up by +4. But the engine favoring Big Tex with the higher advantage. Another quick pawn exchange on G-File. Now, Big Tex nabs Mike's bishop on b8, picking up +3, closing the gap. The engine holding, with Big Tex up in the lead. Both players' Queens circle the board. Until, Boston Mike, takes Big Tex's bp on a6, opening up the A-File. Boston Mike capitalizes, dictating tempo with his Queen, now with his rook, now with his knight for a staggering Suffocation Mate on B-File! Win: Boston Mike
@ 8:43 white could have got both black rooks! Bishop takes E8 rook. Black queen has to move or take. That leaves the C1 took open to take by the E1 rook. 2 rooks for the price of 1 bishop AT MOST! White wins.
