In this RU-vid video, we embarked with Anthony Bourdain's delightful culinary adventure in the heart of the Upper East Side, New York City. Our journey took us to some must-try iconic local eateries, Pastrami Queen, Hot Dog Queen, Orwashers, H&H Bagels, and including the legendary Lexington Candy Shop Luncheonette, where we indulged in a delicious vanilla milk shake, savory omelets, and the classic cherry coke. This beloved diner has been a favorite for locals and visitors alike for generations.
After our scrumptious meal, we took a cultural detour to the Guggenheim Museum, where we marveled at the stunning art collections that have graced its walls. It's a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and tourists exploring the Upper East Side.
Next, we satisfied our cravings with a mouthwatering hot dog from none other than Dan Rossi, the Iconic Hot Dog King. It's an institution in the area, and it's not uncommon to spot famous faces enjoying a quick bite right in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
For a taste of authenticity, we made a pit stop at Pastrami Queen, a restaurant renowned as one of Anthony Bourdain's favorite places to dine and called home. The pastrami sandwiches here are legendary and have been savored by countless notable individuals over the years.
As we continued our gastronomic journey, we couldn't resist trying a delicious rugelach from Orwashers, a local bakery steeped in its over 100 year history. It's no surprise that this sweet treat has left a mark on the palates of many famous personalities.
And of course, we couldn't forget to pay homage to H&H Bagels, where Cosmo Kramer from Seinfeld famously worked, and Dwight Schrute ordered bagels for "The Office." This iconic bagel shop has been featured in various TV shows, making it a pop culture sensation in its own right.
Join us as we explore the flavors and history of these beloved Upper East Side, NYC establishments, and uncover the famous patrons who have enjoyed their offerings throughout the years. Don't miss out on this delectable journey through the heart of New York City!

Did you get the old fashioned Coca Cola at the Luncheonette? They still make it the old fashioned way with the syrup. @@NoahEats

Raspberry ru-lock? That's some in-depth knowledge you got there.

Sorry for butchering the pronunciation of Rugelach. Hopefully in 2024, my speaking improves. Much appreciate your watching. Thanks for commenting!!!

@@NoahEats You butchered the name because you don't know anything about the food you eat. Performing some research beforehand before you set out would help you get a little bit of insight about what you will be eating and how to pronounce the food items.

Re-watching this tonight. I was thinking about visiting that luncheonette. I may pass on it. I liked the black and white segment while in the diner, nice work. I thought you also did a great job analyzing the food. That Pastrami sandwich looked nothing like James' sandwich.

That was such a fun video! I love the editing style! That's a shame about the pastrami. I've heard similar criticisms from others too. It seems like Pastrami Queen has really gone down hill since my first visit. I've always been curious about the Lexington Candy Shop. I love historical places, but it's a bummer about the food. Still, it looks like it was a nice day in a really special neighborhood.

Thanks! The editing muscles are weak, but definitely want to improve how it supports the story. I remember your review and that definitely looked better than mine. I'm glad to visit it and try more things in the city.

I agree. There’s a nice psychological satisfaction of buying a hotdog on the streets. Kind of evokes old memories.

Incredible video. Love the upper east side. If some of the food wasn’t great it’s ok. Woody Allen’s favorite restaurant Elaine’s (now closed) on the upper Eastside had terrible food according to him but he loved the vibe and was repeating customer for many years

😆, James Andrews most likely got them on a good day and I got that Pastrami Sandwich on a meal day! But I did go a few blocks south for 2nd Av Deli and it was.... stay tuned for that video 😀
