I love the idea of price per pan! Gives a much better idea of value between palettes if I calculate the cost of each colour I’d actually use then compare 🤩
I love your videos so much. It is where I learned about colour theory for medium-skin tones. I particularly struggled with lip colours because they always looked different.
As a pale girl I have the same issue but opposite: many shades in a palette are often too dark to suit me/means i have to do a bold look all the time. I just buy singles these days haha.
I'm so happy to see this! Remembering the era 10-12 years ago when THEE nude pallette was the original Urban decay Naked... Everyone had to have it buuut... We were so ashy in these streets 😂😂😂 these companies didn't deserve our money fr
I usually buy the nyx pallete as a brown girl. I absolutely love the nude pallete. It's a mix of neutral and pinkish nudes which allow me to style as per occasion😍
You need to look at the price of the palette and the number of pans YOU'LL ACTUALLY USE. For example, if you buy a $60 palette but only 2 pans are usable for you, the price is $30 per pan.
Not in the list, but I love Juvias Place Warrior 2 (if that's the all matte one), and BH Hanging in Hawaii. Most neutral palettes work, though, as long as they have medium dark and dark colors. The lighter matte colors often look good on the mobile lid.
Juvia’s Place is my go to as a South Asian woman who can’t afford Danessa Myricks. Beautiful formula. Use with their own primer, and it doesn’t budge or fade.
I have the peach out palette from ColourPop. It was the best for my budget and is hard to find something close to a nude but not too dark or pasty. I like that palette that even though is not a nude palette, I use it as nudes because the colors are close to my natural lid color.
Hi Monica! I was wondering if you’d ever try sunset makeup since they have a bunch of really pigmented, colourful products that would be really interesting to try on darker skin to see if it shows up (blue freckles, pink foundation, etc). Idk it’s unconventional but it would be really interesting to see if there are any you’d consider wearing on the daily? Anyway I love your videos and it’s amazing to see someone with the same skin tone as me show that makeup is for everyone, not to mention your hair videos have helped me so much!! 💜
Monica, when you start your makeup line, please make neutral eyeshadow palettes for 4 different depths of skincolor!! And in each palette, have at least 2 colors that work with olive skin❤
I been thinking about getting the Mario or the tATA one for so long. The Mario one has been in my shopping cart for a year and when I was about to buy someone recommended the Patric. Wish I had money for both, but can only afford one. In fact I can’t not even afford either. 😭
I love your videos cos their hella interesting and youre way gorgeous but I was wondering what do you do with all the makeup after you test them and a storage vid would be awesome❤❤love from India
have u seen people commenting on their patrick ta palettes molding pretty quickly? not an issue on this one because it seems to be only on the metalic shimmers, but it's so wild!
OMG YOU JUST MADE ME REALIZE WHY I HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING NEUTRAL PALETTES! I feel so silly for not understanding the obvious but I never conceived of a palette that could have more than three colors that worked for me. Thank you so much!! 🤍🤍
Stuck between Mario or danesas . I read online in Sephora that the cream shadow grew mold after 8 months which I don’t like . I wish she would’ve made it all powder
In regards to the shades in the first palette that you said would be ashy on brown girls, would those shades be able to work on a brown girl if a white eye primer base is used?
Price per pan is so important, especially if you are keeping your skin tone in mind because, yes, maybe you could technically use a couple of the shades and they would work really well, but you’re still paying for all the rest 😂
Yaar, as a brown girl with a light skin colour (Brown race but light colour), everything in the local stores are so fucking dark for me, nothing looks natural 😭
The Danessa is annoying to use on the face. The pans are tiny. Also the putty shades are very sheer and hard to blend evenly/easily on the face. I only like it for the eyes.
I wanna Salazar pretty I can at least a make up artist or celebrity make it affordable pallet under $30 please They make the pallet even know that shades on the colors don’t even cost that much for one make a pallet that isn’t worth our money
Yes as an olive-brown girl “Nude” anything is almost never a nude on me. Do not sleep on Colourpop’s Not a Box of Chocolates palette. It has actual neutral browns that don’t turn pink or orange on me.
