Tbh there was also responsibility on the white guy to see that England wasn’t that interested. You know? He didn’t lie about his looks, he didn’t scam him, he was "just" emotionally unavailable. I don’t see abuse but someone who’s anxious pursuing someone who’s avoidant. Putting in on this show makes me feel like the white guy was pressuring him, whereas he ideally should have just left it.

A girl he liked said the right things to keep him around. When he confronted her and didn’t fall for anything she said, she caved and admitted: “ you’re a backup plan, if the top guy fails, I guess i will settle for you…. “ Top guy got arrested for theft and assault. She tried running back. Got nowhere. She still regrets putting him through a load of bs .

They don't really "pop up". Nev and Max pop up, but the catfish is paid to appear before Nev and Max have even figured it out. They act nervous because they are, but it's not a total surprise because they already talked to the investigative crew beforehand. This show wouldn't be on air if they popped up to people's houses and put them on blast unblurred.
