Kevy, this is the best RU-vid Shaving video I've ever seen! Just brilliant. I have the Karve and game changer and for me the gamechanger reigns supreme. Just slightly. Sooooooo happy with the gamechanger that I sold off my charcoal goods level 2 and WR2 by wolfman. Both those shaved no better than the best value on the planet gamechanger! Thanks a million Kevy
Interesting comparisons. I was puzzled by Homelike choosing to make a smaller head for their new Colibri, exposing the blade tabs. All of these are among the best in new three piece shavers, with unique characteristics. You could just have any one of them alone and you would be set for your shaving, but the fun is in using all the different ones!
Very nicely machined pieces of art! BUT ... truthfully, will any of them actually shave any better than the BBS, irritation-free shave I now get with my 1917 Gillette Old Type?
Simply *excellent* demonstration, and of great help to both your channel followers and the makers of these fine razors. Since by far most wet shavers purchase by what they see on a screen, more UTube shavers should demo their hardware like that. Thank you Kevy.
Good video but didn’t go anywhere near far enough for me. Would of been better with: - Blade Gap - Blade exposure - Mild, mid, aggressive - weight - handle length - does the head cover the blade tabs - plate options - cost - material
Great comparison. Someone recommended me the Razorock Game Changer .84 razor because it could work for my coarse/curly hair. I’m only gonna get it if I want to upgrade
Good idea and video. If I may make a suggestion- I think that a sequence showing the heads with a blade would be most useful, allowing the actual blade exposures and angles to be compared; after all, it is finding this angle with ease in different parts of the face that determines in part whether a specific razor ‘works better’ than others. Maybe this is coming in the next video?
Solid video. I like the multiple offerings/views. How about offering your opinion of pro's/con's and a summary of your shaving experience with each? I don't have many razors and quite honestly I am not purchasing expensive offerings with my experience. I do have the most aggressive RazorRock GameChanger. It is the best I have by far for my usage. Also, I like the fact it has no overhang. Thanks again.
Good choices to compare. But, I would have also liked to have seen the Carbon CX-316L, the Rocca, the Tatara Nodachi, and the Blackland Blackbird. The comparisons would quell many curiosities your viewers would have. Perhaps next episode...
What's up buddy !!!! I had never wondered so much about the details of each of the safety razors, they are small differences in design and construction but in the end they make them have a different performance and it depends on each individual what they think of each one, I don't know Kevy but In this video I felt your narration in the style of a Discovery Channel documentary.
Hi, Kevy. As asked a couple of times, which razor, in your opinion is the best bang for the buck? I have two One Blade razors, a Feather, and an Above The Tie. I love all of them but if I had to choose only one I would be hard pressed. I wouldn’t choose the more expensive One Blade razors and would probably choose the Feather. That’s only my opinion. Which one would you choose, and why choose that one? Best regards from the Northwoods in upper Wisconsin. Ted
Howdy Professor Kevy! 🤓 This video was “blinding me with science, science, science I can smell the chemicals blinding me with science, science, science, science!” Well done Professor, well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hey, Kevy, I know you love your rockwell 6s, and I was looking on their website, and I saw they have a synthetic brush and a barbershop soap. I was wondering if you would ever do a review on those products. Also, is the 6c a good enough razor, or should I save up for the 6s
I've not tried those Rockwell products David. The 6C is good enough and if you look after it, there shouldn't be any problem and it should last you,for many years. I like the stability of stainless steel razors and I know that they will last for many more years than a chrome plated razor. Cheers. Kevy 😀👍
Hi Kevy, I ordered the COLIBRÌ on 08/08/2020, I already own START and GAME CHANGER 0 84 and I hope to have the KARVE. I like them all very much but what if you had to choose just one? . Which would you choose? Good evening and a salutone from Italy.
@@ivermec-tin666 Hi, START for now but that doesn't mean GAME CHANGER isn't great. I will tell you later that I will receive COLIBRI. 👋🇮🇹 P.s. then I'll also explain why. 😉
@@ursusmaritimus2224 Thanks. Looking forward to your thoughts and observations. I have been considering a karve, but their ss razor is not 316, so I would choose to go with brass and later have it nickel plated, if it wins my heart. A razor made of polished 316 would be a simpler solution, and essentially a zero maintenance lifetime product. The gaps of the top plates seem to be incomparable because of the varying geometry of the head designs. The low profile of the Colibri baseplate and top caps is impressive.
Gotta ask, how does the Game Changer stack up to the Christopher Bradley, specifically. Smoothness, efficiency, etc.... the C.B. having an equivalent baseplate on it to the G.C., of course. The G.C.'s been working for me, don't know if I need the C.B., or not.
Nice video Kevy once again! Put and the Tatara Nodachi in that gang 😅 (I'm saying that because these all are pretty much at the same blade gap), peak a soap that you like, a certain blade and make 5 Shaves, every time with one of them and we are waiting for the winner!!!!
I still find them all big and bulky. But it is a personal thing. My old Gillette can maneuver under de nose area very well. Even the R41 canot do that. The heads are too thick. But i like your vid.
