Yeah, kinda dumb. The performance gain of say 3200 v 3600 or higher, is single digit fps changes. Example, 102 fps, vs 104. At best.

@@jamescheddar4896 I'm going to have to see some benchmarks on that. So far I've only seen some games actually have a noticeable difference, and it was at 4k. The issue was that difference was still a few fps. (I remembered incorrectly) I found some benchmarks. For COD warzone 1080, 2k there is about a 18-20 FPS difference. However your talking like 150 fps vs 170. However there was the exact same FPS at 4k. I would rather take that 80 dollar price difference and add it to my storage solution. 2 TB min in my opinion, even for a budget build. Because nothing sucks more than dropping WoW, and COD and oops... out of storage.

@rluker5344
@rluker5344 15 дней назад
@@RobBCactive I have a 13900kf. Never unstable at stock, but I don't run it there because the Asus stock settings are misguided, outdated and do lend themselves to instability under load. The instability seems to be from not enough volts under heavy load, in particular shader compilation for some games. Which is repeatably caused by the CPU not having enough volts for it's frequency. Which happens when the power delivery system (that seems like it has been about the same since those Intel boxed coolers were adequate) that is set for high vdroop (Asus for example has LLC settings from 1 to 7 with 1 having the most vdroop and 7 the least, and Asus stock is 3. I use 6 and it is much more stable under load when I undervolt) drops the volts under load. Some CPUs are unstable at these low volts at "stock" settings when the motherboard also exacerbates the problem by letting the CPU use 400w that makes the volts drop eve lower with vdroop. It is a simple problem with a simple solution. Keep the CPU fed with enough volts for it's frequency for stability. The CPUs in question are fine with low load where there isn't vdroop dropping the volts, but become problematic at high load under lower vdrooped volts. Hopefully my explanation has been understandable.

First time in my life I am seeing Intel's propaganda. Things must be going pretty bad for Intel. Ho about stability problems with 13'TH and 14'TH gen processors? No, intel still better? How about insane power draw by the same processors? Basically, the message by this video is simple. Intel knows that they are garbage, but they're asking to buy Intel, because they need money.

@erich6860
@erich6860 19 дней назад
If I remember, the "14th" gen processor is basically the 13th gen,,, but OC'd. They are getting their performance by OC'ing instead of actual real changes to design. So far AMD is actually coming up with real changes with meaningful speed increases without blowing up the power usage.
@rluker5344

The stability problems only exist with some i9s due to inadequate motherboard power delivery and power delivery settings. Pretending that instability exists with all Intel CPUs is a lie.

You're line a reasoning makes little sens: *Reason 4:* _Intel allows you to experiment with faster RAM speeds:_ You advise budget gamers to buy Intel + Fast Ram > this is ill advice. Fast Ram usually is sold in "premium" and expensive products and generally is not a good bang for buck investment for budgtet gamers, especially not on current Intel platforms. The extra investments would yield more performance gains in a better GPU, a better CPU, or even a very good cooling solution. *Reason 3:* _Energy efficiency isn't a huge consideration when gaming:_ >But it is a consideration, right? Then why bring this point up as a reason to buy Intel? FYI: For gamers that whish to configure their PC's to be virtually inauduble energy consumption is actually a major factor. *Reason 2:* _Intel offers better value in price sensitive segments:_ One could argue this to be true. > point given (this use to be true for AMD when they were the under dog) *Reason 1:* _Extended longevity isn't a must have for everyone._ Again, another none-issue. Why advertise this as a reason to buy Intel? Even if longevity means little to you, it still is currently an advantage for AMD, right? *Message of video:* The advantagtes AMD has don't matter so go buy Intel, but don't ask me why. 🙄

@rluker5344
@rluker5344 16 дней назад
@@francoisleveille409 The Intel i9s that are crashing are apparently doing so because of excessive vdroop at 300+w with motherboards that have power delivery designed for sub 200w loads. I have an 11 year old Z87 Deluxe that has 16 phase power delivery for the CPU with heatpipes and is comparable to modern motherboards in that regard. My 4770k never used power like my 13900kf. The easiest fix for keeping the volts from going too low and causing a crash is to 1. limit the max watts to something like 300w and 2. raise the LLC from a factory default of high vdroop under load to a custom setting of low vdroop under load. And good work on solving your problem. I hope your setup serves you well.

These points might be valid if only Intel was actually stable 13th and 14th CPUs instead of instable and potential fast degradation nightmares and power limits all over the place with no consistency on what it is. You are correct on memory speed, but you better have a 2 DIMM board not named Asus or good luck getting even XMP 6000 2 DIMMs platinum stable. Power efficiency important for an air cooled build so excess heat not dumped into noise dampened case to cook already hot RTX 4090. 7800X3D it is for me now. But I look to Arrow Lake down the road for more cores on same tile/ring/CCD/CCX. 13th and 14th Gen spill too much heat and worse yet have reliability issues (shader compiling) as exposed in last couple months completely unrelated to 4 DIMM and Asus DDR5 XMP.

Platform Longevity isn't as big of a factor as the others things in my opinion. Unless a platform is said to last at least 5 years (which most people upgrade their pc only after 5-6 years), platform longevity isn't that big of a factor unless you are someone who frequently upgrades their PC. Other factors like Power Consumption and Efficiency and Value are much bigger factors by far.

The average gamer won't spend extra cash on premium RAM for little to no performance gain. That money will go to the GPU instead which will have a noticeable performance gain. Also, since AM5 uses less power for the CPU, it means more power available for a GPU. This is important if upgrading the GPU in a prebuilt as they don't come with the best power supplies. Some games are particularly CPU-intensive these days. This video is nonsense and smells of Intel bias.

AI VOICE Blasphemy, AMD isnt money greed company as intel is... you get i5 ok you get i7 better you get i9 even better.. (Was using intel cpus before and went for amd never going back). While you get ryzen 5( 5600x is slower for like 10 fps then i9 12900ks,diference is you can cool 5600x with 212x or U12S,while for i9 you need expensive AIO, not to mention power usage)... Ryzen 5 gaming , 7 gaming/streaming (even WHO DF stream with cpu ? Nvidias encoder doesnt even feel encoding), ryzen 9 video production (many get ryzen 9 with high end gpus but ryzen 9 wont give more fps then 5), and there is threadripper for workstations... How many generations of intel cpus can be installed on same motherboard ? Right that much 1 , While for AMD all FX cpus and Ryzen CPUs to 5000 series.. Like for example 5800x3d can give you about 80 fps more then 5600x in 1080p while in 1440p its just 10 fps of a difference in game you have 800 fps you will see a difference to 810 ? Right...

If you go team blue and green you'll spend way more money, he keeps talking about prebuilts throughout this video. I'm 100% team red, going team blue/green is just to expensive and all I want to do is have a gaming rig. I built my ryzen 5 5600g (rx6600) and ryzen 7 7700x (rx7800xt), the ryzen 7 is considered upper mid tier and is way more affordable. Don't believe me, just check micro centers bundle deals and on the am5 platform I still have room to grow, its a no brainer. Oh and the ram issue you talk about is a motherboard issue which works its way out with bios updates, all cpu's regardless of who makes them intel or amd have growing pains but eventually get solved. Never buy a cpu when it first releases as it going to have issues, let the bios catch up to the cpu.

5600g is comparable to a 10700k in gaming. Not inadequate, but no 5600x. And you will do better financially in the log run if you don't have to keep upgrading parts on the same platform. Get something good for 5-10 years and just upgrade your GPU as needed.
