I've travelled regularly to Thailand, Cambodia and Philippines for decades and can state that all women have their own agendas; (just as we males do) and they all well know how to take a man down Asset and Money wise. Some are easily recognised that way others not so as they play the longer game, but theyre all going in the same direction. We heterosexual guys are at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to a serious involvement / relationship, dont make any woman the centre of your life, maintain your Man frame and personal interests , sports, hobbies and daily/weekly routines; dont neglect your proven friends or career /retirement rewards. When I was stationed in the Philippines from 1988 to 1991. When the bases were starting to close down in 1991. The women were getting very aggressive in trying to get Navy guys to marry them. Those who did get married to the bar girls. When they bought them back to San Diego. Their wives started hanging out with the other Filipina bar girls in San Diego. When the ship went to sea their Filipina bar girls , was hanging out at the officer's club . And they were sleeping with officers when hubby was away. A lot of them, when they got to San Diego, showed little interest in their marriage. They got what they wanted a sailor to bring them to San Diego.

I agree. The whole passport bros thing tends to be a dogwhistle for going over there for sex tourism. Of course it’s not true of all, but I continuously see those channels operating as such….they’re not immediately trying to settle down, as they like to make claims. I've noticed that a large contingent of Passport Bros from the US go to the Philippines, looking for wives. While I support them doing this, your story is a cautionary tale, which exposes the pitfalls that exist (there's always a dark side). Awareness of the place is necessary.

Because of the insanely high rate of single mothers in PH, you should assume any girl you meet online there has kids, so it doesn't surprise you when it comes out. I think after a few dates, a man who is serious about a PH woman should bluntly tell her she needs to submit to a background check to make sure her story is true. This story is not as crazy as the women still living with their ex and in some cases living with him on sugar daddy's dime.
I do know there’s a high rate of single mothers in the PI…The law in the Philippines really doesn’t protect the women. If they have a law that forces the father to pay child support I guarantee you there will be less single moms in the Philippines.

That’s why I said that law will curtail the single mother. If a Filipino know they have to pay child support, I guarantee you they’ll be less men going around having unprotected sex. And the last thought on my video was a combination of my feelings from a comment one of my ex gf shared with me. I’m in Japan, the Japanese women are more honest, you won’t run into the problem of married women marrying you, or Japanese women taking a chunk of your salary every month to send to their parents, and Japanese women tend to act more wifely and decently BUT there are other serious cultural differences such Japanese women tend to control the household purse strings and can be very stingy with you. They can go out with their friends but might be tight on the budget with you. If you like to control your own salary this might be a problem. Japanese people in general are not as verbally or physically affectionate as westerners so you might feel deprived. Sexless marriages are a real thing in Japan. Japanese women can be very critical. Culturally they are more likely to tell you what’s wrong with you than to praise you so that can be a problem especially for westerners who grew up in a praise culture. Japanese people can be very particular about things. Someone described Japan as the land of OCD people and I think it’s a good description. Everything from childhood has been carefully taught and indoctrinated into the people as to how to do each task so any deviation from that one way of doing things can upset the woman especially. Every culture comes with its own specific problems on top of individual personality problems. People need to consider this when dating outside the culture.

It's not that she doesn't want to get divorced, it's just that there is no divorce in the Philippines. All they have is annulment and it's very expensive and almost impossible to get approved. What they have is legal separation which is very common, only thing is neither party will be able to get married to another person.

@@SAMLAMB She needs to file an annulment but it's expensive and takes a long time. I married a Filipina for 21 years and known her for 26. Everything was fine till she passed away of cancer. She had a daughter and was 14 years old when we first met. I miss her very much and thank god that her daughter and I get along so well! So, the moral of the story is that not all Filipina's are bad. Like anything in life, ask the questions!
Sorry Sam for these situations........however you need to take a good look at your choices and decisions. This is not to condemn you. Ive been there. Truth is good especially when we look at ourselves through the grace...mercy....and love that God has for us. It's not that we don't believe in divorce. It's that it was removed by the Congress in the 60's but we still have annulment but has a long and costly process.
How about just being an old guy and living in the pilipines without a dating? Is that possible? Sounds like a good place to live cheaply. Any VA facilities in the P.I.s?
