I have had a profile for a while now (Maybe like 2 months) and sent a message to a few families, but haven't had any respond or reach out to me first. Does this mean my profile is bad or is it normal for this to happen? Or is it possibly becuase I'm only looking to start AuPairing in January so it's still a while away? Advice please 🙈

Thanks for the info! When would you say is the right time to be looking for a host family? I'm currently looking for a family for 6 months' time, do you think that's too early?

Thanks for watching! I don't really think one can start to look _too_ early, but it just depends on the situation. If you need a visa, you'll need to start looking a lot sooner. I found my year-long host family 6 months in advance, so I think it just depends! Many families in Europe that are looking for au pairs from the EU only start looking a couple of months in advance. Just found this, I’ve been applying but I keep getting rejected..the two that that were interested seemed abit sketchy so I didn’t,what would you recommend for someone who lives in Africa?

Hi! That's a great question. Unfortunately, it's normally quite hard to get a visa to a European country coming from Africa, so many host families do not accept African au pairs. Perhaps you could try to find an agency in your country that knows more about this. Best of luck and I hope you subscribe!

Hi Bujang! Thank you so much for watching my video and I'm sorry that your profile wasn't accepted. There are several reasons why that could happen, so it's impossible to say which one it was. I suggest that you send aupairworld a message explaining your situation and see what they say. Best of luck!

You can go to the "My Profile" tab, then select, "Change Photo" under the profile picture. I suggest you use as least 5 pictures! Best of luck!

Do I need to cover up the face of kids if my host family want some photos?

Hi, great question! I think it really just depends. If you're referring to covering their faces in the AuPairWorld profile, yes, I suggest that you do that. But, if you've been talking with a family for a while and you've established that they are a legitimate host family, with the parent's consent, I think it's totally fine to use the actual photo of the kid. I normally just ask the parents if they mind me using their kids picture in my profile, so that way, when they yes, you don't have to go back and ask every single time you send photos. Hopefully that helps!

All of the above! I find it easiest to do it on a PC/laptop just because you’ll have to type a lot, but you can do it on practically any device!

@@sameershrestha4196 Very interesting.... Maybe try to go and write the profile again. If it still doesn't work, send them an email. They are very good about responding to emails and I'm sure they'll have a more detailed answer for you. I have no idea what the problem would be, but I'm sure they'll help you straighten it out!
