Great video! Thanks to your channel, I figured out how to style a pair of cropped, mustard yellow, wide-legged linen pants 30 different ways so far. I spent an hour trying them with different tops and belts in my closet, and found that they looked good not only with black, but with forest green, sky blue, ecru, camel, even dusty pink. I was shocked. I've styled them with structured blazers, a long cardigan, crewneck sweaters, loose t shirts, things I never would have dared to even try them with before. Now I know how to make them look good for a casual lunch by the pool, to wear to the office (I work in a creative field), even for an evening out. I honestly thought I made a big mistake by buying them because the color is so odd and specific and not really "me." Yay!

Love this concept. There's definitely a buzz about getting back to socialising and attending events but it doesn't mean we have to go out and buy new. I think having something different to wear for every occasion is an outdated concept. Great video Alyssa.

I love your style and videos. It definitely speaks to the inner me. Turning 60 and living in a very casual lifestyle now is really making me rethink how I dress. I used to dress so much more stylish when I was working in an office and felt so good about getting dressed every day. My goal this year is to find ways to look stylish and yet comfortable in a very warm casual year round environment. Not frumpy and sloppy as I have been doing. Laziness and everyone in shorts and tshirts here hasn't helped. I love fashion and accessories. I need to find that me again! Thx for jumpstarting me :)

Just when I was about to play it safe with a combination I wear all the time, this video inspired me to get out of that comfort zone a little. I own an animal printed top in a dark orange, and pairing it with khakis instead of black pants really looks nice together! Now all I need to do is play with my accessories a little bit 😊

Love this formula!! You really helped me reduce my clothing spending this summer to almost none and wear my clothes in ways I have never thought of before. I found your channel earlier this year after going through a phase of buying bunch of clothes to upgrade my style following advices of other influencers. Wish I had found you earlier. Love your style sense! 2 questions: one is a please help us for many of us who have to wear an orthopedic type shoe -what can we do to make an outfit look great with our bad shoes??? Two, you have that shirt in a medium, so what is your regular size in a tee shirt or pants-you are so slim and look tall, would think that a medium would be too big?? Thanks for your delightful commentary, especially when you remind us, “it’s NOT the end of the world drama-it’s just fashion!”

I'm now on look out for classic white blouse and t-shirt. My oldest outfit is a Biba dress from 70s which is orange and crazy design, but highly unusual. In our house we constantly declutter as our charity shops have great quality, so we regularly recycle our clothes. For ones not worth giving to charity shop we give to clothe banks used for donating for developing countries

Thanks Alyssa for the style reminder. As a matter a fact, the trend I use to wear @90"s decade was shorts and jacket to styled for my RH assistant @ a international company, while still assist to night School on summer (like On pretty woman that trend that the Vivian character that is coming back on the 2020"s as a classic wardrobe for spring and Summer "old money" trends. Fashion that always will keep for decades, from my mom, and me as a woman, no matter the age. CIAO girl for the sweet reminder

Alyssa, you always manage to make the old look new again and I love your style. That black high waisted pencil skirt is ultra sophisticated. I can see that worn with your red shirt too! FYI that natural color rattan purse you have, I had one just like it in 1968. I was 6 and my aunt gave it to me for a plaything. I hauled my Barbie doll and her clothes around in it. Most of the time I stood it on end and pretended it was her house. Horizontally it was a casket.....lol

Absolutely stunning looks! It's hard to pick my favorite one. I follow the same idea as you talked about today : finding a star piece and highlighting the best part of my body. I also love my legs, so I usually show them off in nice shoes. And I am slim which I like to accentuate by wearing something tight. Great video, Alyssa. Subscribed last year when you first shared it and loved the classes I took. I love playing with silk scarves and hair accessories, sometimes using my second hand vintage Oscar de la Renta scarf as a hair accessory. They allow me to express my creativity in the ways that surprise me as well! I also love wearing sentimental pieces, like your Nona's scarf, when I want to feel connected with people who are associated with pieces. For example, I'd wear my mum's accessories when I miss her the most. I have a few of her old necklaces and 2 blouses, and they warm my heart every time I wear them. I loved this! A styling hack & zhuzhing up an outfit always makes me feel like I've boosted my outfit somehow. simple things like rolling up sleeves, leaving buttons open, adding accessorries - little things add up.

This is a nice video showing us different concepts for outfit building. I don’t think I could highlight cleavage the way you have (I need to find my high light or show off) but the other overall concepts - the show off, the risk etc I do appreciate how these were pointed out on a digestible format. 👍👍👍

I hope you love your hands because they are stunning and beautiful. You do a nice job of highlighting them as well with your jewelery and sleeve cuffs. Your thick shiny hair was fabulously highlighted in your boho outfit video, too. Another great feature of yours. But those hands, girl 🤌 You just made me realize why I love camis, even though they are a big pain to undergarment, and my breasts aren’t small or fab enough to go braless. It’s because I like my shoulders. It’s also why I keep 5,000 million bras around, for those camis.
