I really like your wholesome videos Robbie. Good thing about catching small natives, they will remember what they were caught on. So if anyone tries to catch and keep them, they’ll have little to no luck. I see so many people in Melbourne keeping undersized fish, but the huge carp are so elusive in Melbourne. We rarely have natives in local lakes!
Great seeing the team out on the water. Nice to catch something. Another very entertaining video 😊 see you later mate. 4 straight fish no bent one 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
AWSOME sesh Robbie! Great to see some littler on being caught! And a nice cod to end off the sesh! Love your videos as always bro! Stay blessed and tight lines bro!! (Did holly get any?)
Good video Robbie. Good to see you got into some. You think you strike hard, in a recent video i strike like I'm bass fishing 😂 didnt realise it til a mate told me hahaha
@@robbiefishingBloody oath, the reddies were picking it up off the bottom while slow hopping plastics so I wanted to make sure I took up the slack and set that hook 😂
@@HookedOnFishing61 I once tore the gills right out of a redfin when I struck it hard. Others have come flying through the air towards me, yanked clear out of the water. Reddies are fun, lol.
I notice the yellow belly bank themselves a lot when you release them, I wonder if you throw them in backwards/tail first (if it doesn’t hurt them) would they swim the right way. 😂
Not to go off subject Robbie but I think it may be time for a cook up or catch and cook video again seems like it's been a while or maybe I missed a vid the last I can remember is when you were cooking on your own with a beer and a train load of passenger's came past thinking what's he doing out here all alone without a car and cooking 🍳 lol still love the vids no matter what though 😊
Haha thanks mate. That was funny. LOL I've filmed a couple since then. I've filmed another yabby catch and cook on a disposable BBQ and a crayfish catch and cook which has had 240,000 views. LOL But yes, I definitely do need to film another catch and cook and hope to do so when the trout season opens.
@@robbiefishing ah yes that should be a great vid and your right I did see the yabby cook up my memory is a bit like technology good when it works sorry for the misunderstanding I guess
i went fishing yesterday and had a few nibbles then a hit and my worm hook disappeared. workings of a turtle i presume.it sucks at 5.00 per 4 hooks plus worm fees. got 5 bass but lost all 4 of my zman jigheads.on a underwater branch.lake had mininal traffic so good stuff
WHat they are feeding on and expect to find at a given time of year can often affect the size of lure they will take most happily. Winter is small food time. There is not much in the way of big yabbies, fish a few months old or things like that, so shrimp, mudeyes and other larvae, worms, and mosquito fish are the targets. Also, the water temperature affects their digestion. Lower temps lead to a lower metabolism, so winter leads to them finding foods that are smaller and easier to digest. In many places, you will find reddies and trout full of snails at this time of year, they are an easy and nutritious meal that does not take much chasing in winter.
Hi mate, I use a number of cameras but I think this one was filmed with my DJI Action 4. There might be a link to it in the video description unless I forgot. LOL 😂
