So in this video I am going to build a Dawless Jam from 4 synths in front of you. I am going to use My Behringer MonoPoly, Behringer JT-4000, Yamaha SeqTrak and my Sonicware SMPLTrek for sequencing and drums. This video got REALLY LONG, but I cut it down for you so you don't have to watch me pick sounds... It was fun to make, and the jam itself will be out in another video so yo can just hear it if you'd like later. Let me know if this is helpful.

Thought I would get more use out of the Seqtrak. I'll keep it but isn’t really a daily used device. I just dabble with it occasionally. Glad you've found it useful.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. Yeah I love this thing - I actually think it makes a superb add on to the SMPLTREK because it can fill in a few missing features and it sounds great doing it. I’m actually thinking of getting a second one… Maybe 🤔- if you need ways to use it hit me up I have lots of ideas and a couple mods I might do (one is splitting the midi out to either 2 1/8” standard midi jacks or maybe putting real 5-pin midi jacks in the case if there is room.

Great video. Love the groove you’ve got going. We’ve come a long way from days of Juno’s, Roland and Ensoniqs.

It has been a crazy ride hasn’t it! All this synthesis that we’ve had back in the day versus what we have today. I think it’s amazing that we have devices that are the small that can do so much, and what they cost versus what they used to cost. But regardless, thank you so much for liking the video. I appreciate it and I’m glad you enjoyed the song! Hope to see you around the channel. Have a great day.

Hi, Very interesting video on a technical level! I was wondering, how many midi tracks can the Smpltrek sequence at the same time? I can't find it on their site. Or is a midi track the same as a drum track or an instrument track (like: are those midi tracks?). This Smpletrek devices looks very interesting, I'll be checking out some of your other vids about that. Thanks, Freddy

Hey Freddy! Sorry for the delay in replying- I will try to get a video together to demo this but here is what’s up - the SMPLTREK has 10 total MIDI channels and 3 tracks of audio with three comp tracks you can use to assemble your audio from. With those 10 midi tracks, you have choices (this is why I often refer to the SMPLTREK as a Swiss Army knife) you can have up to 4 drum tracks, up to 4 instruments, up to the full 10 channels of loops / external midi gear / and/or shots. You can use any combination of these “midi” channels, but you cannot exceed 10. I hope that helps - if it did please sub I’d appreciate it. And feel free to hit me up if you have other questions!
