Its such a trope about big12 defense but the offensive schemes of Big12 were a step beyond the others for a while there. Air Raid with Smashmouth spread hybrids. It's HARD on the whiteboard, harder on the field to stop.

Texas making so many mistakes on their own on offense only made things harder. TCU's defense allowed open receivers and Texas was just never able to take advantage of it with overthrows and drops.

I think they were only ranked recently to be honest. Started the season unranked and have been in that 20ish range back and forth... Which is probably pretty fair. Lots of talent, but it's getting squandered right now.

For all of the Longhorn fans complaining about the TCU punter "flop": The rushers cannot slide under the punter or kicker. They must allow him to safely come back to the ground unhindered. Now, that would be "running into the kicker", a 5 yard penalty, not a 15 yard penalty. But it was 4th and 3...

Game literally changed when a punter that doesn't get touched, gets a flag. And two holding penalties that the ref is clearly looking at doesn't get called. I understand Texas is leaving the big 12 but week in and week out this is ridiculous.

I think they are referring to the out-of-conference teams. Colorado was the only team from a Power 5 on TCU's schedule - and they are 1-6 in conference play. Georgia had Oregon. Ohio State had Notre Dame (which is its own thing). Tennessee had Pittsburgh. But Michigan didn't have anyone and I don't see anyone complaining about them.

There is no argument that can age my first comment like a 7-65 blow out in a national championship game. TCU looked good just like Cincinnati did their year...but the scores speak for themselves.

TCU, first TD run, just watch closely how the Texas defender nearby is been hold the whole time when he is near the receiver. A first TD ore not is often even more a game changer than later TD's

@@seekingtruth8123 You're right about #5 but as good as the defense played, they also played terrible 7 penalties for 75 yards and why try to block a punt when you know you're going to get it in good field position. That makes sense. One thing for sure The SEC team you play is going to figure out your weakness just by watching this game.
