When the gameboy was found it was taken to a repair shop, but it didnt need to as not only did the gameboy still work, but the copy of tetris that was in it. Its in a museum now (not sure which)

With the phone one, it is pretty obvious as to why it survived. As phones are decently light their terminal velocity is low, meaning they can't fall fast. But the major factor is that it landed on grass, unlike a road which would have caused it to explode!

Oh yeah, Gopro Hero 4 also has a gorgeous track record in my book. Purchased mine 9 years ago. It has been doing a lotta stuff since then, including filming for hours in 4K inside (no cooling at all). It never overheated once and it didn't leave me hanging once. It has probably recorded 10,000s of hours so far. And while only a fraction of those hours were filmed with it's original battery: This battery is still working perfectly fine and offers close to an hour of filming. Gorgeous little thing. Unlike the Hero 5 Session. I loved that camera, the form factor is brilliant - but it randomly died on me without external forces after 2 years. Probably due to heat strain.

Not me thinking the GoPro with lava was a dang bodycam💀
