Hi can somebody help me? 🥺 I'm from a small pacific island and I'm a High School Students, which I'm graduating next following week . I seriously want to know where can I get a free application to fit in College. 🥺
Try to go through list of colleges or universities which Don't take any kind of fee for application. There are quite a lot, like even in UBC. So try to do some research about them. Don't give up though, there's still a lot of hope. Goodluck for your future.
Hey, I’m only 13 but I could love to become a psychiatrist when I’m older and I want to enrol UBC, and I live in Alberta, but what program do I take to become a psychiatrist?
@@charleeisnothere3701 Hi! There are a few things you need to go after your first university degree to become a psychiatrist. To be a psychiatrist, you have to be licensed. Before you can get licensed, you have to go to medical school, then complete a 'residency' (which is where you get trained on the job.) The undergrad degree you do doesn't actually matter, you just need to go to medical school. You can technically get into medical school with any bachelor's degree (undergrad = bachelor's). If you want though, UBC has a psychology program. The psychiatrist part comes in after medical school, when you do your residency. You can choose which area to do your residency, so there you can apply to a 'psychiatric residency program.' After your residency, you'll have to take some exams so you can be certified. here's a link if u wanna look at it:study.com/education_needed_to_become_a_psychiatrist.html It might sound like a lot, but if you're passionate about being a psychiatrist, you can do anything! What the other ppl commented is very true too! You don't have to worry about applying to university yet. It's really cool that you already have an idea of what you want to be- I'm applying to university now and most of my friends and still don't know. Even people in university are still figuring it out, and that's okay! You have a lot of time to apply to universities. As long as you are trying your best now, you will be okay once it's time for you to apply to universities.
Look outside of school! I’m in a similar position as you; my school doesn’t offer volunteering work. So I mostly volunteered at my local community centre
during the covid period, I opened my own online small business to help people access accessories they otherwise can't buy physically. since then, it has been growing with time. do you think that I can mention this as one of my extracurriculars caz it was pretty impossible to go out and do various things physically in the past 2 years...
Does studying in which secondary school matters? Putting the personal profile aside, if I am getting a 95% average in a secondary school with higher academic reputation versus the same score in a lower academic reputation one, does it impact my edges of getting admitted?
The thing about Canada is that we don't have school rankings, so from what I know... it is not taken into account, but maybe some readers of your application will have a bias towards you if they know your school is well known.
I'm from Bangladesh and activities aren’t very big here. My only activity is in School Science club as a member and winning 2nd prize for the science club psychology project. Tho I have very high grades (All A+ in grade ssc and All A's and two A+ in hsc) What should I do?
Hey!, I am from India and want to get admission at UBC in masters in political science or International relations, Please guide what to do and when to do

Is it a bad idea to mention mental health on the personal profile application, I was watching some videos on the topic and they said it was a bad idea. I think my point that on mental health in my application would be strong but if they don't like it I'm not sure? Help would be nice Thanks
I did with my. It depends how you do it I think. It's not a plus or negative, so do it if it's a big part of your life. I know some say it's good, some say it's bad. Do you boo, do you.
