After waiting for the V/Line Albury Passenger Service to depart Southern Cross, Pacific National's 4MS2, Qube Holdings 4MS7 & Southern Shorthaul Railroad's 4MC4 depart one after the other on line clearance. The Qube Holdings empty Apex Quarry Train also gets involved following the three Standard Gauge Freights, making for 4 Freight Trains climbing the grade between the Moonee Ponds Creek Viaduct & Jacana Railway Station within 37 minutes of each other. A special Southern Shorthaul Railroad Spoil Train also features led by 60-year-old unit T363 & ex V/Line locomotive P18 roughly 70 minutes after the first service passed by.
All five trains consisted of different locomotives, with 12 different types making their way up the grade, with the oldest unit dating back 68 years to 1952 and the newest only 10 years old. The hardworking EMDs & Alcos from across generations of Australian locomotive building are captured, hauling a mixture of different freight, including Steel, Containers, Grain Hoppers, Ore Hoppers & Flat Wagons.
There aren't many scenarios where you'll see such a variety of locomotives and trains running one after the other like this anywhere in Australia.
