4 TRUE Creepy Attic Horror Stories 

I have no attic or basement so I’m missing out on all these fun life experiences of finding a creepy dude hiding there with a knife while I’m home alone. Life is just so unfair at times.

Story 1 - how inconsiderate the husband’s brother was to stay at the house his brother and family had just moved into a few days prior.

I will never understand parents like the one in story 4. Believe your kids, especially when it concerns their safety. Worst case scenario if they are lying and you believe them: a teachable moment where you have to explain the risks of lying about things that concern their safety. Worst case scenario if you choose to not believe but they are telling the truth: You come home to find your children either murdered or kidnapped. There is no teachable moment, just an irrevocable mistake you will have to live with for the rest of your life. The choice seems obvious to me.

That third story is absolutely heartbreaking while also being terrifying. I pray nobody is ever in that position again

I really appreciate the story involving the two kitties. They almost certainly helped save the owner's life by alerting her to who/whatever was in the attic! Also, thank you to the person for taking them with you when you left the house for a safer location! If you could possibly find more stories involving cats alerting their owners to the presence of danger, I can't even express how much I would appreciate it! Thank you! Subscribed!

The big disadvantage of a big house is you having no idea what happens in the other end of it. Can't imagine not noticing weird guys roaming around my own small cabin 😄

The last one kind of sounds suspicious, almost like your dad was in on it, because even if it does sound insane if I were a father and my children were visibly terrified about some thing that may or may not be there I’m going up and I’m checking because I think they heard it or not. It’s always good just to make sure. And as much as I hate to say it, I’m pretty sure the dad was in on that, as to why, I don’t know, maybe he wanted to see if they would contact him, but still when they did, and he didn’t want to go up there, I don’t know maybe it’s just me, butit’s a little odd that your dad wouldn’t want to check it anyways just make sure

I'm a momma if my kids tell me or their dad they heard footsteps/noises in the attic, I'm listening if there's any indication it's not a critter, calling 911, I'm not home leave the house call 911.

Story 4 - Father of the Year 🤨

Story #4 made me so mad!! I'm laying here wishing I could tell that AH sperm donor what a horrible parent he is. Plus wth is that crap about not taking the cover off to look because it could cause damage?! What does that idiot think they are for? People that treat their kids like that just really piss me off. I know there are a lot worse, but this type of parent is the kind that causes their kids to grow up with confidence issues among others and until something happens they don't know certain things aren't normal. At least in this instance OP knows this was wrong and won't treat their family in such a dismissive and hurtful way. Until i started listening to these Reddit stories about 5 years ago I didn't realize it was so common for parents to not believe their kids about things. It's unfathomable to me to think a kid could tell their parents such important things and be brushed off like so many are. I'm sorry for such a long rant. I hope everybody has a great day/night!😊🌸🪽

I have a attic, but the only thing up there is,probably expired by now, rat poison.

The dad in the last story really annoyed me. I don't get why parents don't believe their kids. At least go check so your kids feel calm than no one is there.

Everyone in the last story was pretty dim. The dad? Idiot. The kids? Super dumb. Took forever to have the brain fat that it was a person, even when it was clearly following them. Call the cops.

The dad in the last story is fucking infuriating! Cant stand ignorant adults.

Ripshy, for me you’ve surpassed Mr. Nightmare for the top spot of true horror narrators. The story choices are just better. Mr. Nightmare uses way too many ‘supernatural’ type stories and obviously fake garbage. Half the time I’m rolling my eyes listening to him lately. Please keep being discerning when choosing stories, and thanks 🙏🏻
