The Golan Defense Platforms come in a ton of shapes and sizes, but they served similar functions of locking down key planets, like Coruscant, and shipyards, like Fondor Shipyards. We take a look at the Golan I, Golan II, Golan III, and Golan VIII, and do ship comparisons and size comparisons to the Victory-class Star Destroyer, Venator-class Star Destroyer, Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, and Executor-class Star Dreadnought, aka the Super Star Destroyer. See how this ship was used by the Republic Military, and the Imperial Fleets, as well as forces in Legends. This ship was introduced in the Thrawn series novels.
