I cannot believe I spent the last week searching the internet, and watching nobles than 150 videos....and this is the first video that had actual information! The item #2 I've never heard if before and sounds like everything I am going thru and you had actual suggestions. Thank you so much.
Lichen Sclerosus. You need to talk to women about Lichen Sclerosus. So many women are misdiagnosed! It’s insane how uneducated our medical professionals are in regards to this condition. It can cause vulvar cancer if not addressed. So very common in menopausal women. It took 2 years for my diagnosis, but some women go decades! :)
@@AvogelCoUk definitely! I have lichen sclerosus and struggle to find information on it. I’m under medical care now, after being misdiagnosed for over a year but even now I need more info. My doctor doesn’t explain things well. I worry that she hasn’t seen the most recent studies.
I agree Drs everywhere should be educated on Lichen Schlerosus! They also need to LISTEN to their patients when the patient TELLS THEM they have a severe itch or severe pain and stop pushing them off to other Drs. Women are going far too long without being diagnosed and able to start treatment and prevent Cancer.
I am so tired of menopause I am going through so much right now I am going through Vaginitis it's not easy, most times I just want to Scream and Cry together
Thank you you are an angel. I am a registered nurse and I have had this problem ever since menopause. I am now 70. None of my doctors have a clue about. The basic they know is bladder infection or yeast. Water hurts me it causes me to dread taking a shower. I like to be very clean. I have some incontinence this year and it has been maddening. I started using a light vinegar and water to wash with that has helped tremendously and didn’t stop helping until I became partially in continent that I had to wear a pad or a pull-up which tore my skin out so much I can no longer use the vinegar. But I would highly recommend it if you have no broken skin. I used it for two decades. I also drank it in my water to prevent bladder infections. I’m very small and my vagina is very close in proximity with my rectum and Urinary meatus. So the vinegar gave back the bacteria I have lost through menopause and hysterectomy. I think you so much I have really gone through it all down this last weekend given me so much help and help. You are the first person I’ve heard sensibly talk about it in great depth. The doctor should all have a course on this. I appreciate you so much . I pray God‘s blessing on you so that you can help many more women who I’m sure are desperate. When it first started happening to me I could not understand why every time I took a shower or every time I urinated I was burning in my vagina a terrible pain and discomfort that was hard to explain. You have explained it and I thank you.
Same thing happened to me and the 5th doctor I went to, finally explained that it was post menopause after not finding anything else wrong with me. I was skeptical and thought I must be the only person experiencing it, until i happened upon this video and realised others have the same problem.
Omg I just found your channel! Thank you!! The information you share regarding peri menopause, menopause, & all the sensitive things we women go through but too embarrassed to talk about!! A lot of the stuff u mentioned in your videos I personally experienced but didn’t know and thought it was internal illnesses such as kidneys, liver, GI or some sort! Quick question on vaginal/vulva itching: I been using over the counter vagisil cream to alleviate the itchiness...is this good or bad? It’s been helping and I only use when needed not all the time.. any advice helps thanks
Hi Ge Yang Glad you found us! Falling oestrogen can affect the mucus production in the vagina and this can lead to dryness, itching or inflammation. For this I would recommend a supplement called Sea Buckthorn Oil capsules and a vaginal probiotic (a company called Optibac do one). For any discomfort you could apply either pure aloe vera gel or our St John's Wort Oil. Remember to drink lots of plain water over and above your other drinks as dehydration will make this worse! Best Wishes Eileen
A.Vogel UK, thank you so much for responding! I will most definitely try your recommendations!! There are so many things I still need to learn and process! Especially the heavy bleeding (became anemic due it) and painful menstrual cramping...I will continue to watch your videos for more resources. You got a new subscriber!! Many thanks 🙏
Green garlic helps me lots I got from my backyard I think normal is good too .but don't eat every day once or twice a week and I eat lots fruits and vegetables also cut down sugar and milk too
It's my first time listening to you and I'm glad I found you. I found your video Informative and very clear and structured, thank you. I wonder if you have done a video on prolapse which is so very common in these particular ages (50 and above). If you haven't, could you consider doing it?
Hi Zipi Welcome, I’m glad you found us! I have mentioned prolapse in passing in several videos but not as a focus; this is an important topic so thank you for suggesting it. I will add it to my list!
@@AvogelCoUk yes, I have prolapse as well. A video on this topic would be great! I learned one in three women will experience pelvic prolapse in their lifetime. That’s awful.
I suffer with vulvadynia. An estrogen ring and Cymbalta have controlled my symptoms. At any time when I've over exerted myself, my symptoms will flair up. I've found that laying down and resting, sometimes for just a short amount of time, calms the nerves, thus the pain is alleviated. Vulvadynia can be treated and daily life can continue.
Please speak on Lichen sclerosis. Many women are suffering this. The soloution is a simple steroid ointment but gynos are using this as licence to remove vulva flesh, and more. That itch may not be thrush. Demand answers, ladies.
Yes this videos, gives me the clear idea what to expect. After this understanding make to reduce sugar intake; take 3 litre of water a day and I have tremendous improvements in general.
I know this video was published a year ago but I just found it! I’m definitely going to try your suggestions. I have tried almost everything including laser treatments and non hormonal suppositories. I’m 58 and my husband 60. We are to young to have issues of this type. I think I contract my muscles and may be making it even harder. Do you have a video on this? I’m very concerned. I hope you are all well during this time of anguish we are all experiencing.
Hi Mercy Glad you found us! Unfortunately, I don't have any vids on this specifically, sorry. Hope my tips here do help, let me know how you get on. You could also find an experienced Pilates instructor as this can be really effective for vaginal issues so worth looking into. Best Wishes Eileen
Hello Avogel nice watching on listen to u it's a great class I listen over on over again but with that fishy sence man I was so annoyed buy it I went all the way to a older lady we work together on ask her about it on she told me to eat a lots of pineapple on drink the juice too on its a big help to me with my walking in the early morning so thank u on great job keep it up god bless
I use Slippery stuff lubricant daily and with dilaters at night. It has cured my discomfort 100 percent. I had vaginal atrophy. I am seeing a uro gynecologist. She tried to put me on Clobestal on the outside and Interosa on the inside. Did not continue past 13 days. Did not like it at all. I read on a forum about using the Slippery Stuff and that tip was a Godsend.
I got better with the recurrent infections, but now i am having trouble with itching. I have another appointment. The one doctor says it is irritation. I am not dry. Just vulva irritation. I am so tired of this. I am using sveral creams with so far no relief. I think it is stress.
Itchy skin is really common in the menopause and can be caused by a number of different factors. I have posted a vlog on this and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/simple-solutions-to-ease-itchy-skin/ Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Marva You could try the herb sage as this is used to help with hot flushes and night sweats. You can get this from most herb stores. Best Wishes Eileen
I'm 60 and was very dry . My Dr gave me vagifem supposities every 3_4 days. And I use dr.woff moisturiser. I use internally and ex ternary. I do this every 3_4 days too. And fter listening to you I've started taking sea buckthorn oil tablets. And drink lots if water. If I don't do any off these I'm nearly crying with pain . It feels like my vagina is stuck together and passing water takes long, I'd I don't use these. Is there any thing else I.can do? It's horrific. And it's took me years to sort this out. The dr woff is £15 per tube . Its expensive for me. Is there anything cheaper? Thanks so much Eileen
Thank you I will. I also bought organic sea buckthorn oil 1000 capsules. And I bought bioactive Omega 7. THESE arrived today. Please what is the best thing for me to use? Both together? Thanks Eileen ❤
Your blogs are really getting me through it. Thank you! How do I use or apply St. John's wart and aloe? Has anyone had any success with applying these inside their vagina? I wonder about applying Sea Buckthorn there too but the bio can be upset so easy so I am reluctant to just try. Thanks.
Hi Susan Aloe gel, St John’s Wort Oil and Sea Buckthorn are usually fine to use but make sure they are as pure as possible (such as our St John’s Wort Oil) and only try one at a tome for maybe a week to see how it helps. Apply very sparingly twice a day to start with. Great to heart that the blogs are helping, thank you!
Check out Menopause Taylor's video channel and start with #1. She will give you medical based information from a ob/gyn perspective on all forms. This woman is denying HRT's value and secondary health benefits of bone, breast and brain health
Hi Tammy Yes, this may do, sanitary napkins can prevent good air flow round the vagina and this could contribute to dryness. You may find a Sea Buckthorn Oil supplement can help with this.
I got dagnode with vulvodynia 2 years after my period stopped. Is there anyone else out there thst this has happened to? I am finding it dificult to cope with.
Hi Nada I recently posted a video blog on this and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/4-unexpected-vaginal-problems-during-menopause/
Can you send me or tell me the link to the 6 symptoms you discus you did a video on in the beginning of this video? I think that is the one I need and I can’t find it. Thank yo
Hi Sufani Here it is, I think you will need to copy and paste it. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/6-common-vaginal-problems-during-menopause/ Best Wishes Eileen
Thank you for all your useful videos. Do you have any advice for over production of mucus during peri menopause? Normal consistency, not causing any issues but loads of it!
You're welcome Michelle! You may find the Optibac vaginal probiotic can help and maybe just check that there is no underlying infection such as thrush present. Best Wishes Eileen
I know UTi's are common in menopause but are yeast infections common too? I feel like I'm so dry sometimes, that it's causing my thrush. My poor vag is being ravaged by dryness, abrasions and/or thrush. ☹️ I have bought sea buckthorn oil, I'm hoping it helps.
Hi Bajan Yes, this could occur, any change to the pH or bacterial balance in the vagina could make it more vulnerable to thrush, candida or other infections. You may find a combination of the Sea Buckthorn, vaginal probiotic and Spilanthes can be of benefit. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/spilanthes/
Hi Lyrical Please do get this checked out by your doctor; although abdominal pain is quite common, for various reasons, if it is constant or has gone on for more than 2 weeks it is important to get it diagnosed properly. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Patricia I have not heard of this, sorry, but if you think you have one, please get this checked by your doctor for a proper diagnosis. Best Wishes Eileen
What about the external vaginal walls being irritated, itching, burning. I have had a hysterectomy and have one ovary left, no cervix. I have found all that you have ex8plained but also external vaginal walls irritation. What causes this and how can I help it?
Hi You would treat it just the same as the internal symptoms but you could also apply either a pure, organic Aloe Vera Gel or our St John's Wort Oil. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi! I have had a full hysterectomy in 2010, and now I have this Stale Body Odor! That no matter, how much I shower, or change Soap, deodorants, etc, It stays with me! As well as my Room, Bedding, My Hair, I Was, it daily,he'll Im washing and Scrubbing, everything! 2 to 3 times daily! And I have ever taken any Hormones, since my Surgery, OMG! My hair is thinning, pimples, etc! H E L P!!!!!!👋🙏💯
@@randiw9433 that sounds awful 😞 I know with me, my hair has slowed way down with growing. I take a lot of vitamins too. I understand about the smell thing too. I cannot take hormones (although I have one ovary left) because they give me blood clots so I need to do natural stuff. I think I am going to make an appointment with an osteopathic doc who specializes in women's health and see what I can do. I've had all my blood work taken but they can't find anything. Good I guess 🤷🏼♀️
@@randiw9433 you're welcome, you responded to my post but if you have specific questions you may want to copy and paste your post so the channel expert can help you with what to do. I don't have the knowledge she does. Hope you get answers 🙂
Hi Ruple Unfortunatley, this is a really difficult question to answer as it is different for every woman, sorry. Trying to ease the symptoms as soon as possible may stop this from getting worse over time. Best Wishes Eileen
@@AvogelCoUk Hi Eileen! Thanks for replying. My Dr prescribed Dermol 500 which is sort of helping & another thicker cream/ointment. Today the Sea Buckthorn Oil arrived I ordered & just tried it so I'm seeing how that goes. I ordered it as you mentioned it here. One good sign is when you apply it, no sting. Thank you!
@@AvogelCoUk So far so good. Highly recommend. It has other amazing health benefits so going to get the capsules. Thank you for mentioning in this video Eileen! 🌼👍
Hi Dinah Unfortunately, this is a really difficult question to answer as it is different for every woman, sorry. Some may experience it for a short while, whilst others may have issues for quite a while. With symptoms such as this, it is better to try and treat them rather than waiting for them to ease. Best Wishes Eileen
@@AvogelCoUk I think this will eventually settle down. I took a bunch of antibiotics for uti and it set off the yeast bv cycle. Baking soda baths have helped. I also think first doctor made it worse with antibiotic for yeast bv which made it come back worse.
What can I do about sweating down there! I hate wearing undies. I'm still young but have had a partial hysterectomy..so still have my ovaries..I also leak urine constantly and I'm only in my 30s. I hate underwear and I hate pads but I also wear lose fitting clothing all the time.. I sweat so much and feel like I have to shower in the morning and at night or I smell. I hate it. I have not seen a OBGYN since I I gave birth 10 years ago. 🤦 I don't have any other body odor, just down there.. like musty, sweaty smells..
Hi Rachel It is important to see your practitioner just to rule out a prolapse; this can often cause a leaky bladder. Profuse sweating can also be caused by other health issues such as low vitamin D or diabetes so it is a good idea to get a health check
Hi Ruth I have posted a video blog on itchy skin and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look: www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/simple-solutions-to-ease-itchy-skin/
@@AvogelCoUk Thanks Eileen. When u say ,,topically,, does this mean around the V. or inside? Whether oil or creams would one use a tampon dipped in it and then insert?
@@GrowYoungerNow I would only recommend around the vuvla area, not internally. Taking the Sea Buckthorn as a capsule can often help more deep areas inside the vagina. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Candy I have posted a video blog on itchy skin so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/simple-solutions-to-ease-itchy-skin/ Best Wishes Eileen
Hi There can be a number of reasons for this so it is important for your mom to get a proper diagnosis from her doctor, sorry I can’t help with this one.
