I’m a medical professional and have been on BHRT since I was 50. I am 67 now and will never stop. I really do not understand why female MD’s do not join forces to get these treatments approved under insurance. Women need to man up and get it done. I can pay out of pocket for mine, but not everyone can afford it.

I wish it was that easy to resolve vaginal dryness with just drinking water. It's just not the dryness, also the burning sensation after intercourse, itching, frequent urination, UTI, I don't want any of that so I got vaginal estrogen and I have amazing result in just 4 days of using it.

Teach your partner about sex OUTSIDE the vagina. There is no reason why a woman must suffer pain to have enjoyment. The only thing that matters to men is their orgasm. Girls, get a copy of the Hite Report. I can't believe that women are afraid to talk about real sex and the fact that most women do NOT orgasm without clitoral stimulation. Why do you hear so many women talk about 'finishing themselves off'? They aren't talking about suicide! They're MASTURBATING! And there's nothing wrong with that. Teach your partner what you want.

Go see a FEMALE hormone specialist. And if anyone tries giving you straight Estrogen - RUN as ast as you can because they are not any good! Bio-identicals with a blood test every 3-6 months will keep you moisturized, happy and horny. LOL Do not use the PELLETS! You need cream estradiol and estriol combined, also a cream progesterone and a progesterone pill. Compounding pharmacies will do this for you. Many Female Nurse Practitioners will provide BIO-IDENTICAL hormones in creams.

I widowed 11 years ago at 47 and became inactive until an encounter 3 years ago. I was shocked when I experienced extreme pain.. now at 58 I just resigned myself to be celibate for the rest of my years and I am so very sad about that, plus no men are interested in me anyway..

I was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis about 10 years ago ( ('m now 76 y.o.). Any help out there for this condition. My doctor just told me that I could no longer accommodate a penis and it's been somewhat depressing and I have not dated anyone because of it.

Don't take estrogen - take a different form. A hormone specialist who DOESN'T subscribe pellets will be able to help you. BIO IDeNTICALS ONLY!

They need to update their knowledge. There are multiple options for local estrogen that are safe for women with estrogen positive breast cancer. Katie Couric had estrogen positive breast cancer and has some sort of device ( e string???,). I have seen some posts by a Dr. Liz Oriorden of England who had estrogen positive breast cancer and used some sort of local estrogen because riding her bicycle caused labial pain and trauma. Good luck, find an educated doctor.

You can't take straight ESTROGEN - I'm have been on bios for 11 years WITH heart disease. Guess what? It made if BETTER! You're doctor doesn't know the science or they are lazy or a man. Get A NEW DOCTOR!
