Story no.2 - guys first time in Thailand (check) - first girl he meets, a northern farm girl in a bar, she’s only been there a month, but somehow she has very decent English to converse (check) - she doesn’t go with customers, only LDs (check) but did go with him straight away (check) - doesn’t like thai guys (check) - only likes overweight Middle aged white guys, definitely not young slim guys (check) - when he goes home she will still work in the bar but promises to only serve drinks (check) - turns phone off at night (check)(not even trying 😂) - she doesn’t ask for money but he’s gifting 15k-20k to support family (check) - already bought the diamond ring for the girl he’s only just met (check) The absolute classic, hook, line and sinker!! The story will write itself hereafter unless he reads the comments, takes the ring back for a refund and cuts all comms completely! The benefit is he has the ability with social media to be warned. Up to him now. He’s been well informed..

Second story is classic. Absolute textbook bar girl story…page for page. Unfortunately the “she’s different” spell has been cast and there’s almost no telling to break it so it has to break you. However after all these years of seeing men crushed…at one point they were deliriously happy so maybe it’s worth it for those few moments 😬

Second story about dang, that is a typical, bar girl story that lowers many men into giving her monthly salary, she is married and live with her husband or boyfriend whatever the case may be and she's using you there is no way she's waiting for you, sorry to tell you that but wisen up.

Peter - I'm in Hua Hin right now. This is my third month here and I absolutely love it - the pace of life suits me and so does the beach. Yep all the warning signs are certainly there. Hold on to that engagement ring. A good test would be not telling her when you will be travelling and arrive 'unannounced' - Thai women are very good at managing their calendars.

Look about the "story 2" guy. I see a lot of negative comments about him but you know, at least he is living the life. Just let him enjoy himself while it lasts, nothing is forever anyway. The real sad stories to me are the guys who stay at home after a divorce, get addicted, start gambling or whatever... Id say flying to a tropical paradise and burn your money on some oriental beauty is pretty far from the worst thing that could have happened to the guy :D

Poor guy number 2: This a classic bargirl’s story, full of lies that will lead you on down the garden path and it will not be a good end for you. Listen to more of the stories and you might be enlightened, although might not seeing as though you are smitten.

I was staying in a beach resort in Hua Hin last month, just a few doors down from the Hilton. The resorts where busy with tourists as was the beach with a lot of people riding the horses. I noted that there were quite a few Chinese tourists about on the beach with their families too. Soi Bintabaht was absolutely dead at 9pm and I wondered how the girls would make any money and where were all the tourists ? The night market was really busy , as was the big food court. We ended up in the Woodstock bar that had a really good band playing classic rock.

I don't go with customers: lady, you work in a bar where all the ladies get barfined I only make money with drinks: impossible, that's the lowest return on your time working in a bar. Hi Peter what you said about story 2 so true, she is still going with customers and 1 month at the bar. I have found some of the girls work for a month then go back home then back to the bar for 1 or 2 months. You can take the girl out of the bar but you can't take the bar out of the girl.

I really do respect the professionalism of the bar girl in story two! The real story could be: - The "sister" is probably not her sister, it is more likely that she is a cousin or someone else from her hometown. - She has been working bar for many months or even years. - She seems comfortable drinking heavily, which also suggests that she is a seasoned pro SW. BTW, the "Tequila" shots may have been water - she gets a higher split for these lady drinks. - Her conversational skills suggest experience interacting with Western punters and knowing which buttons to press: she really knows what a lonely Farang man wants to hear. - Every morning she returns to her small apartment where her Thai boyfriend/husband is waiting for her (who might live off her money). - If she is good with money the 15.000 THB will go to buying gold or a a house. If she is bad at it might go for drugs, repaying debts, Thai toyboys, clothes, e.g. - She is so good at manipulating him that she is able to talk about marriage even though he knows absolutely nothing about her (except her presumably fake stories). He doesn't know how she behaves outside the nightlife scene, she doesn't know her family (and how they live), and he doesn't even know how and with whom she lives.

He is going to crash and burn for sure Peter. I support 2 nieces for school Isaan land and it costs me 4000 baht per school term !!!!! for both of them . The second guy. I truely wish him the best but i hope he goes forward with a little caution. She may truely love him but i dont think she's faithful. And this was great. Then I moved back to the Philippines and yes, it got old after sometime. Best is to go back and forth.

That bloke in story two - he included lots of suspicious details that suggest that he himself deep down knows what the situation really is. Maybe he's hoping that someone tells him everything is fine and he can continue to live the fantasy for a little longer, but it sounds like he knows exactly what's going on but doesn't want to admit it to himself. Honestly, get out mate before you're in too deep, and stop sending your money.

When the guy in story four told the hot girl he was gay, it seems that she relayed that information to her gay bouncer friend, who then saw it as an opportunity to make a move. Strange thing for a straight man to say to a beautiful woman, and to be surprised at the unfortunate outcome.

I disagree that everyone will tired of Pattaya. I know many that have lived in the thick of it for over 10yrs and don't look like leaving. One guy is in a condo on Beach Rd. Been there 13yrs, He's out nearly every night and would bring home 5 girls a week. The only reason I see people leave is a lack of funds.
