Good story but sounds too familiar with mine. Mine was in Khan Kan.. Issan.. then after we had a relationship and I put her through cosmetic school and she bought her house… a few years later I had a engagement ring and asked her to marry me.. as it turns out she was with another guy too and was marrying him too and he was helping build her house too. I fell for the nice girl, she turned out to be just like the others 🥲

Jib does sound special. She will surely deserve the land, a nice farang style house on her land, and take care momma/pappa forever. I would suggest the farang in the story to keep working hard and/or take on a second job in order to make Isaan farm family happy and to significantly upgrade these strangers standard of living.

Hi Peter great story, well read as usual ,firstly well done the guy that wrote this so much detail and time to put together, he mentioned that the amount of food Thai girls eat, which they do, what you don't know is that the girls are constantly taking diet pills to keep that slim body, they also take tablets to stop any uncontrolled wind, imagine having aerobics and the sound of trumpets kicking in, and if you go to the village and look at the older women 50 to 60 they don't age well I think that's why when they are young slim and attractive they have to hit on as many customers as they can and get land and build a house for there future, most young girls from the bar don't want to be tied down to one guy unless he meets all her needs financially, the land you bought it's funny her dad owned the land anyway so basically it's her land it gets passed on so it's just free money to the family, you didn't say how much you paid for the land so makes it difficult to comment, your next problem is she will ask you to build a house 100 per cent guaranteed now do you have big enough balls to build or do you run forest run, but as they say in Thailand up 2 U

Exactly it was something she would have talked about with her family, nothing at all changed because everything is kept in the family here, I hope he didn't pay too much because he could have an acre somewhere else for very little, who knows it could be one of the very small percentage of relationships with a bar girl that works but doubt it unless he's willing to pay for everything and is happy doing that

I am married to a Thai woman and I’ve lived full time in Thailand for 6 years. The biggest red flag in this story is that they are unmarried and he is living in England. Until they are married and living together the relationship will be fragile. I’m lucky my wife has not displayed any jealousy. I am a long time salsa dancer. I bought her a few times but it just wasn’t for her but she got to see what goes on at the dance events. I regularly go out salsa dancing and she just tells me to have a good time.

I think a little confusion about his third holiday. You dont fly from Utapao to Koh Phangan and then get a ferry to Koh Samui for the full moon party. The full moon party is on Koh Phangan and the airport with a Bangkok Airways connection from Utapao is on Koh Samui. Just my two cents lol.

Foreign men, and that includes British men are not allowed to own land in Thailand. They can only leased land (rent) and if the marriage fails, they lose everything, they lose the land and the house. I wish the guy well. Peter, I’m surprised that you didn’t mention this.

The man in the story went to Partaya at age 43 and continued to come back to Thailand for more than a decade. He is now in his 50s and becoz of his mindset will probably continue to party for the rest of his life. A true case of Middle age Crises and a good lesson for youngsters. Never go to a country with a 2 day Aerobics plan. LOL

I never applied the "two day rule", its the first time I hear about it. When I was single and went for a holliday and the girl I met was nice, she could stay with me for the greater part of my holiday... I would not try to get another girl... to be fair, this happened in my life maybe 4 times... normally I had long term relations, which I much prefered. And stil prefer.

I know there are exceptions, but frankly have found Thai people people the most mercenary I know, closely followed by the French (who by the way are very hypocritical about it). Interestingly, despite the fact that Filipinos are poorer, they are less mercenary. Nevertheless these issues are academic for me now. Have understood the real age issue for me is I am incapable of adjusting to a married life after all these years as a single male. Would have made no difference if the age difference had only been 20 years; result would have been the same. This video is not as interesting as the previous one; am sure you have heard all this tedious stuff before.
