You have to loop the string around the axel.

Thank you teacher. As my confidence builds I will try these methods. It is hard to accelerate a fixed axle diabolo by whipping. It seems that the return stroke acts like a brake. At worst, the slack line induces a wrap up of the string, grrr! Your skill in communication is refreshing. Thanks.

Is the diabolo supposed to spin all one way? Or backwards and forwards? So confusing.

The diabolo always spins in one direction - through its spinning momentum it becomes stable

With the trick where you wrap the string around the Diablo my Diablo keeps wrapping itself up the string any tips on how to stop this

Hi. I have a problem. When I try to get the diabolo to high speed it often bites the string and run up the left side like a yoyo. I can sometimes get a pretty high speed before it does it, and sometimes it does it right away. When i try the whip thing it almost always does it. I cant figure out what im doing wrong. Its a fixed axel and im right handed. I would be grateful for any tips. I have searched everywhere, but noone is mention it. Sorry for the bad english. Its not my first language and it has been awhile sense school.

Hi there, normally I answer all questions real quick but I have been away giving a street theater master class in Vienna Austria.. anyway, the "Wind Up" can happen if the string is old or if the string is twisted. you should try to unravel it by holding one stick up and letting the other stick spin out. if it still happens, use a new string. @@marcushal thanks, im gonna try that. My string dont look old, but im gonna try it. How often in a nutshell do I need to change it? Ive been yoyoing a bit, and those string is easier to see when they are starting to get old. But the diabolo string is much harder, so it still looks new. Thanks again for the answer! @@marcushal I tryed to spin it out, but it still does it. Gonna try to change the string, and hopefully it works. Diabolo seems like alot of fun, if it warent for the wind ups. Its really frustrating, and its hard to get it to spin fast without it doing it. Sometimes it wind up with such speed i drop the stick if im not ready for it, and it has men centimeters from my face a couple of times😀 Im from a small town in Sweden, so there are not many around here to ask for advise..

M isterM eine frage, verkaufen sie nur auf ihre webseite diabolos oder auch auf amazon. Ich habe ein paar diabolos auf amazon gekauft darauf stamd mister M und so aber hat der verkäufer kontakt mit ihnen oder ist das der fake mister M diabolo verkäufer auf amazon???
