It's not that easy on Upwork. I have been a freelancer for years. I am a top rated plus freelancer. I follow all the rules, but get little to no hire. There are so many writers on Upwork. It has gotten so competitive. It even get more challenging because of the proposal boost. Let's say 15 people boost their proposal. You were one of the first 5 persons to apply. You did not bid. Your proposal gets pushed to the bottom.
Exactly.... Upwork was once a good place to start, but now it's a full of shit for beginners too ....we gotta dip our toes not in Upwork, but in other methods.
@@iamnotawais Don't get me wrong now. I still get clients. I have had landed 5k jobs and I still have some great clients. I am now offering consultation for freelancers. I provide them with an overall guide to master Upwork. You just know that you have to go hard or go home.
@4:30 -- what's the first clue I should look for to know whether a local biz is spending money on ads? Typically, the websites look polished and professional, so it's unclear if they would benefit from additional assistance.
