@@mrt8694 Neither will an angle grinder.🤣 My set of bolt cutters are only 8 inches long and fit in my jacket pocket. It cost around $100, but I've cut so many padlocks with it, it's paid for itself many times over.
Can you show how to open the round locks? I didn't go through your whole play list to see if it was there... if it's in your list, can you tell me the name and date of it, otherwise.... They have a short, area that the thick bar(don't know what it's actually called) that it slides into the lock that doesn't seem like it could be cut with bolt cutters.? I have bolt-cutters which fit in a pocket, as it's only 8 inches long. I bought it primarily to cut padlocks. It cost me $90 but it's already paid for itself.
None of these actually work. The closest thing to actually workable is the jar lid shim. The problem with it is that jar lids are made of metal that is too thick to fit between the shackle and the hole it slides into. The metal that makes up the side of an aluminum soda can, however, is perfect. Any padlock that you don't have to have the key turned to lock is vulnerable. Some locks have latches that are squared off, not tapered, to prevent this vulnerability. Some locks also have a latch on both sides, requiring you to shim both sides. Funny thing is, if you look at the shackle on the lock used to demonstrate this technique, it was one of these locks with two latches requiring two shims and he's only using one.
On the second example the shim doesn't even penetrate the lock to release the bolt. Besides it would take two in order to work for that particular lock

Why bother with all the 'tricks' when such a crappy lock can be picked in second? A half decent lock can't be shimmed or opened with the gunpowder stunt anyway.
