False teachers are also Preachers, ministers, pastors and prophets. That's the problem today.

There is a difference between judging and discernment. I believe his intent is to help us discern. We need to understand how to identify false teaching. This video is not all inclusive, but I do think it is very applicable.

False teachers are trying to build their own kingdoms under the guise of building God's Kingdom. False teachers are sometimes pastors/religious leaders themselves.

As a deacon in church, this is a good video. A lot of truth. I been in church for 40 years now.

What if the false teacher is the pastor? A false teacher will systematically force the people smart enough to see through him to leave until he's left with ignorant parrots and power hungry yes men and women.

He makes some valid points. There are wolves in sheeps clothing that appear to be real spiritual, but little by little you begin to see their character flaws. Beware of those who are always saying "God told me" or "God wants you to know " etc. They like people heaving praise upon them.

How do you have 4 points to point out false teachers but NEVER once mention false teachers behind the pulpit (namely some preachers, deacons, bishops, etc etc)??? This guy in the video seems to make it seem as though the false teachers are only in the pews or visitors who come to church. MOST false teachers are behind pulpits who are deceiving those who sit in the pews. If a person does a video or anything about false teachers/false prophets/ etc and not say anything about the false doctrines we hear in many churches today preached behind the pulpit then that person is still not understanding what a false teacher is or thinks that those behind the pulpit cannot be false teachers. Omitting the FACT that the wolves in sheep clothing, those who make themselves appears angels of light, the hirelings, who stand behind pulpits and lies, and preach the commandments of men as though it's the word of God and the word of God though it's the commandment of a man are in fact false teachers. These examples presented in this video of what false teachers do applies to ANYONE who either comes into the church and spreads lies and also those who are already in the church who stand behind a pulpit and deceives the brethren whether it be for financial gain or whatever else.

yes many churches start out with good intentions pastors also start out with the word of God but when the money rolls in and they become obsessed with the greed of the money in the basket and not used for God's purpose then it's called greed lust and partakers of sin when they start doing that that's when the church falls apart.

Wow, this teacher just skipped the whole first part of Jude where is clearly says what a false teacher was: "people that teach God's marvalous grace allows us to live immoral lives" is the book of Jude's definition of a false teacher! Jude CLEARLY tells us that it's the people teaching the fake gospel that says "it's okay if we are in sin after coming to Jesus because God's grace covers it" that are the true false teachers

You left out the most important one, False teachers also always give several reasons for sowing " money" into the church, they bring up tithing which they conveniently forget was replaced by " Faith" & preach prosperity 80% of the time,

There is only 1 way to determine a false teacher.. if they preach other type of gospel. There is no such as prosperity gospel or social gospel or any other gospel. There is only Christ's Gospel..

I believe that it was clear- cut and basic. The video doesn't need to last an extended amount of time. I didn't notice any arrogance in him. He simply wanted to share. It is up to US to STUDY the Word and PRAY to the Lord for discernment.

False teachers teach false doctrine and that is why it is so important that God's people know the Word of God and make sure what they are hearing and being taught lines up with scripture,it is that simple.!! By the way make sure you have a correct word for word bible translation like the KJV bible .

They are constantly talking about unity, yet watering down the Gospel or changing it 2 Cor. 11:1-14 bringing in worldliness. The whole ecumenical movement want unity at the cost of Biblical truth. In the time we live in today it's very difficult to find a church where truth is peached uncompromisingly.

Way number one: he / she says that a tithe of money to the church organisation (building if you will) is required Biblically. Way number two: he / she insists or otherwise claims that what we call "church" today is what the Bible describes when it talks about church. Way number three: he / she allows nonbelievers or untested believers (basically anyone who verbally claims to be Christian) to participate in the Lord's Supper. Way number four: he / she says the Bible means anything other than the most plain meaning in any specific verse, or explains something similar with no supporting contextual verses. *Fixed *edit: opening line is unbiblical - the Bible says that the church is full of tares, which are unbelievers. Furthermore, it is not in fact hard to tell a Biblical teacher from an unbiblical one - just read the Bible. *second edit: Also, the verses posted in the video are from the NLT, which (first off he didn't even say this) is a PARAPHRASE of the Bible, it is NOT a Bible nor the Word of God in itself like a ESV, KJV, NKJV, etc. A paraphrase is the interpretation of the guy that wrote it, just like a Biblical commentary (except that a commentary will provide the original verses being commented on). So this guy is a false teacher even by his own shaky definition, since he is not teaching out of the Bible at all.

What we say about others is a reflection of self. Truth is life and love as it runs through every heart and soul. Without life we have no existence or experiences there for all life within life is equally created and loved. How can one understand and be one with ALL THAT IS when we separate our selves as life and love? How we judge others is how we are judged. I wouldn't trust anything by man in this reality. Good points brother. Yeah false teachers think only they have the proper revelation and talk down about every other ministry. The Apostle Paul knew he did not have much time on earth left in Acts 20: 28-31 and warned the church.

What I find in a lot of false preachers is an unbelievably high charisma that is very charming. You want to listen to these preachers and they always say the right things. But that’s part of the act. It can be so hard to discern. I remember I fell for Creflo Dollars teachings. It sounded right, but it wasn’t. Satan will always tell you things that sound right, but spiritually isn’t. Be careful of these preachers and make sure that you use the word as your armour.

Someone who is constantly harping on one or two subjects (prophecy, prosperity, healing, sign gifts, Bible versions, anti-Calvinism, et al) is likely a false teacher.

some good characteristics of false teachers but brother you missed the most obvious! false teachers teach false teachings :) instead of judging the person (we can make mistakes), we should test what they are saying against the bible and in particular the ten commandments: Is. 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Honestly I've never known for sure how a fellow church member is living their life or if they're bearing fruit or not. I only see them once a week in a neutral environment so it's hard to say.

My main concern is the fact that this is in the church and amongst the body of Christ why is it that we have falsehood leading people astray and why are people okay with hypocrisy?

These scriptures weren't describing false teachers as much as false brethren. Your focus was primarily on the congregation and not on pastors. You should find what motivates such targeting. False brethren aren't just in the followers but also in the pulpit.

Its very simple you dont need 4 ways only one. Can they prove what theyre saying with the Bible? Not just in 1 place in the Bible but everywhere. Because the new Testament repeats the old Testament just slightly different because of course it was thousands of years passed between the two Testaments. So how ppl talked changed a bit. If you cant read it dont believe it bottom line. If they can only say Apostle Paul said... they love to use Paul's writings to discredit Jesus. They just twist his words and its in the Bible that ppl would take his words out of context and how many false prophets will arise.

The only way you can identify a false teacher is by comparing the subject that he professes ! whether it is in harmony and contrast with the holy teachings of the Bible ! We need not concentrate on the teacher but the message that he delivers that is important to us !

The false teachers most times are people like the pastor & the groups that you can earn your spot in authority but by Thor own arrogance they would rather give high position to their kids like Samuel. The funny thing about videos like is is that what is a false teaching to one Protestant is God's revealed truth to another Protestant.

The book of Jude says in verse 4, who's it refering to which are "Ungodly men". Now, can these be false prophets? Yes, they are because they're ungodly. However, thats not specific direction on how the bible particularly teaches us how to {RECONIZE} a false prophet. The scripture that gives this direction is found in Matthew 7 (also Luke 6) and it reads, beginning in verse 15 Of Matthew 7. "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits..." Therefore, We know them by their fruits. (What are the fruits?) Holiness (Good) or Sin (Bad). Simple. View the following verses after verse 17, for more details. also our channel "Only One Truth" for the truth.

Your paradigm to recognize false teachers doesn't seem to include what scripture focuses the height of false teachers. And that would be pastors. I wonder why you leave this distinction out? Do you do this purposely? If so it reminds me how false teachers or false pastors eliminate correction of their words. Or set up the framework to categorise any disagreements with them as grumblers, complainers or "false" teachers. False teachers eliminate themselves from the category of "False teachers" by naming everyone else false and their words above inspection or criticism. Will you answer my question? But it’s the false teachers that start the disunity in the church because it’s usually half of dozen of the one and half a dozen of the other. Either are not right but equally right.
