Respect! I love that you're out there with grey hair. I fought my salon for years to go grey, but they insisted I colour which made me more insecure about going grey. Shout out to Game of Thrones who made white hair haute couture - lol. I get more compliments on my hair now than I ever have. Your amazing. Thank you!
They did not want you to go grey because they wouldn't make as much money out of you. Well done you for doing what you wanted and not being made feel bad about doing it. If it had been me I would have found myself a new hairdresser straight away because there are too many people who try and make us feel bad about ourselves so personally I won't do business with people like that. So well done.
I have a sleek bob that I adore. I've had long curly shoulder length but nothing beats a straight bob. In my opinion it's the most flattering hairstyle for all ages. My 5yr old granddaughter looks gorgeous with a shiny bob and people always comment! Thank u Nikol for new ideas and hairstyles.
I'm a few months shy of 47, I let myself go gray in 2015. Everyone loves my hair, I used to have a short Bob like you, an di LOVED it, so easy to manage and I loved to curl or straighten it. But now it's right at my shoulders and don't know what to do! My hair grows super fast tho. I bought those velcro hair rollers and am using them literally, right now as I type this (I have a baby shower at 2pm) you're so inspiring. (Although, I'm not thin, pretty or financially set as you! Lol)
Thank you for this video! After chemo my hair came back very thin, fine, fragile, and silvery white. I’m trying to grow it out to do a modified bob and just got my Velcro rollers in. That’s such a wonderful tip to use the curling iron briefly and then set it with the roller. I try not to use too much heat on my hair but you’ve come up with a great way for me to style my hair. Thank you!!🦋
This is Paula Goins-Walters. I love your hair! I am still in the process of growing out. It's been 17 months now. Looking forward to my cut on the 23rd. It's such a long process, but I feel it is well worth the wait! I noticed in one of your photos that your hair was curly. Can you share how you achieved that look? You are such a beautiful young woman! I so appreciate your sharing your techniques with us. Blessings for a wonderful day!
Я влюблена в эту женщину, что бы она ни делала)). Удивительно ухожена, восхитительно элегантна, красива до кончиков пальцев... Любоваться можно бесконечно!
Your an inspiration. I wish I could wear a bob. I am a long hair lady. I do love my silver sparkle accentuating my hair! Just beautiful 🙌🏻 Blessings everyone. Stay beautiful naturally 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa
Always great info from Nikol. Amazon has the 4-in1 brush styler at s big discount tight now. I purchased the turby twist set, Conair roller set, and brush styler for &90 with overnight shipping. .
Dear Nikol can you do a video about sunscreen products??? There are so much outhere, anti-aging, gel, with colour, powder, sticks, I am totally confused and I really need your advice. Love the hair and the shirt!!!!
Love this video - I have been experimenting with velcro rollers and this has been a great instructional video (as always). I would be interested how you get the look in the middle of your pictures for the video. I am 59, before I went grey-white I had red curly Einstein hair but after chemo it came in white and straight as a board which really drives me nuts. However, if I curl my hair it will hold for days - which makes me look more like myself. I was rolling my hair wet but I will try it this way. I am letting my hair grow as it was mercilessly short for too long. Thanks for another great video.
Janet, mousse your hair and add hot rollers, then hair spray while rollers are in your hair. When you remove the rollers, before you even go to style, hair spray again, and I am not saying to spray a can of hairspray, but enough to get the entire head odf hair, the put your head down, and use your fingers to lightly 'style' your hair. When you bring her head up and look in the mirror, fix your hair how you'd like, and spray your hair again, using a GOOD hairspray such as Tresemme. Purchase a small can for inside your purse to spray while at work or wherever you go, a couple hours later, and I guarantee your hair will hold a style.
@@Katee586 Thanks for the tip. I use giant velcro rollers which I put in while I'm doing my makeup and getting dressed. It adds a little bit of volume but flattens later. Sebastian hairspray and a rat tail comb lets me lift my hair when I style.
@@Katee586 ....how lovely of you to take the time to try and help me, it really has made me smile so much, I shall try all your advice, my family bought me the dyson wrap for Christmas, it’s really difficult to use, and impossible to get to the back of the hair, I’m persevering with it as it was over £450, once again, thank you lovely lady...keep safe and greetings from the UK, We have just had your president here, and we saw airforce one fly over my daughters house, it was so exciting!
@@selectiveoutrage6617 - No need to tease the hair. Purchase the hot rollers and leave them in while getting ready with make up in the morning. When you remove the rollers, before you do anything, spray with hair spray, and then style. When done styling, use a good hair spray and it should last with a quick spray during the day. I am not a beautician, and I have been blessed with very thick, curly hair, BUT...I worked in a beauty supply store with all licensed beauticians, AND many of my family members have stick, straight hair. You can also use a velcro roller to add a 'bump,' while putting your make up on. When you remove the roller, take just a comb and fix it how you like it with hair spray. Don't forget to use mousse!
@@janethothersall8345 -Janet, you are so very welcome! I should start my own channel on here to help others with hair questions. lol I love to help others. Let me know if my suggestion works, Janet.
I have thin fine hair and for years I’ve been using Velcro rollers . I blow dry with a round brush and then place that section in a Velcro. This is the only way I can get some volume.
I have always worn a bob haircut but with bangs. I have never stopped using velcro rollers but I have never tried using a curling Iron first. Question, what kind of gel is good to use for the slicked back look? thank you, Janet Coltin
Thank you for your tutorial, and sharing your helpful tricks & tips.....Can you please tell me if your bob it cut with a centre part, or a side part, and do you have any layers?
Your hair looks good pulled back! I had been using velcro curlers for years, but recently stopped because (at 70) my hair seemed to be thinning a bit and I wasn't sure if I was pulling too much out. So now I use TP rolls, lol. Great tips! I'm growing my hair out from a pixie last fall and can't wait to have a one length bob again.
I LOVE YOUR IDEAS!!! I have very fine hair (thinning - thanks for nuthin' Menopause!); so I haven't used a heating tool for the last few years. Been so afraid I'd burn what little I have left, BUT what I think I'm going to try is to get a set of the velcro rollers and maybe instead of "warming" my hair with a curling iron, I'd use my blow dryer on a low setting on THE CURLERS, then set it in my hair! What do you think? It wouldn't be too damaging! Please excuse the run-on sentence but I'm really excited to try this! As always, I appreciate your wonderful videos! Lots of love and hugs from Louisiana!
Hey Nikol ,I saw you putting on some pretty dresses recently ,a song was playing and I cannot think of the name of that song.A women was singing. please let us know the singer and the name of the song, you look good in red, that long red number ,awesome.
Your hair is beautiful and thick - mine is falling out at the front now and I don't really know what to do about it (probably menopausal reasons, maybe stress, idk why)
I have the same type of hair. Even my gray/white areas are the same. I asked my stylist if she thought I could pull your hair cut off. She said as long as it doesn't get looking like a triangle. I have thick, coarse hair like you. You don't have a triangle look and you don't seem to have many layers. Can you tell me what you tell your stylist when you get your haircut? I'd appreciate it. Thanks for all the great videos, support and energy.
