i just bought 250 quad runner suzuki and it has that exact same problem, but I have gotten it to run and ride but, the electric start won’t work so i have to pull start it and if I don’t use the decompression lever it gets stuck half way. the original owner said it was starting to get hard to start and they just didn’t ride it much any more. hopefully this is my problem
Yes sir no argument there lol I think it went out again just had my truck over my buddy shop he said he think new one is now bad ! Back to trying to pull start it n e start ! Those parts are not made the greatest seems !
Just replaced my flywheel and stator now won't start. Got good spark at plug. Should I have to time it by replacing those. ? I lined up woodruff key on flywheel. But it is very hard to turn over motor just like this one.. any thoughts?
As long as Woodruff’s not sheered it should be on time ! Pull plug n see how hard it is to turn over , this will tell you if it’s compression or the piston n rings scraping on bad cylinder! Was it running before this work ? Did you just buy it ? Holler back let me know
Bad battery will cause issues with electric start n that decompression mech will make it like trying to pick up a car as far as it not wanting to turn over if you try to pull start it !
@@WaldensWorld could you explain in a bit more detail on what you mean by this? I’m currently having a bunch of problems with my two units turning over, I can’t seem to find anything wrong but with the spark plug in , when I take it out it turns just fine. I’ve got a Yamaha raptor 660 and a Yamaha Kodiak 400
