Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.
Just purchased the first of what surely will be many wyze cams. I can not believe how great these cameras are, and not just for the price, but just great in general. I am continuously looking for other places to put them!
I finally made it work Look for the bell if it has a diagonal line click it until it disapears Verify in notifications if the movement notification is on Excellent camara Now I have to fine tune it becasuse it gives me a warning for every cr that passes in front of my house > So I trimmed the detection area
It would be a great feature to add the alerts to turn off when your smart phone is within proximity. ie. Automatically starts sending alerts after you leave the space.
Did the app change or was this feature removed because this is not in my settings. Wyze please update the video to match the current app and let me know how to do this. I am planning to use it as a baby monitor and want to know be informed with he wakes up (sound). thanks

From Home>select a camera>click the gear button>landing on the Settings page, Now there are three places you need to check. #1 Detection Settings, this is for sensitivity adjustment for motion and sound, per your preference and needs. #2 Event Recording, this is same as Alert Settings in this video, you can turn on motion detection or sound detection, or turn both of them ON! =) #3 Notifications, you can turn on or off the notification when detect a sound or motion, or keep one of them ON. Hey Ethan, are you using the cam as baby monitor? I'm curious about the the 5 minute cooldown period and the sound detection ... how would that work? Feels like a lot of figuting out the best sensitivity, and also letting the parents be unrelaxed due to the fact that for 5 minutes I need to stare at my phone or constantly listen to the livestream cause no notifications would come in if I am right?!

Everyone that isn't seeing the alert settings on at least iOS...This is an older video and the cameras have a new menu layout. The alert settings are there, they are just in the next menu options after the initial screen. Click on them and you will find the options you need.
Okay I figured it out!!! You have to select the camera you want notifications for then you go to the settings in the top left corner then it will say event recording click on that and turn it on for sound or motion🎊🎉🎉
worked for me. the buttons looked greyed out but i tapped them and it turned on. there are two sets of notify buttons which adds to the confusion. there are buttons in event recording and in notifications. set to on in event recording
Why is my app different from the one you are using? I just bought it so it should be up-to-date. What you are showing is way more advanced than what I have.
The app you see in this video is from 2 years ago! Those settings are all still accessible through the app, but may not be in the same location as this video. :)

I bought wyze cameras 1 year ago. Had to return because my phone and cameras got extremely hot! Then the 2cnd device wasn't playing events! Then wyze sent me a new 1. Shut down my person control. Went to settings said wants me to pay monthly. My neighbor bought 1, hers almost caught on fire, same as me no video playback or events! You get what you pay for. Better to spend more for a reliable and safe camera.
One of my v3 randomly switches from rectangle to grid square Detection zones every so often. Rectangles are usless for outside viewing as nothing that moves and sets off alarms outside follows rectangular DZ
Also would be nice to have the Wyze cam tell Alexa to turn on security lights (WIFI smart bulbs) when motion is detected at night, since none of your products have illumination built in. Don't know if this is possible.
Would be nice to be able to set motion ZONES like what Ring does. For me ideally i'd set it to record the front yard and street and set it for continuous recording to the SD card & NAS, and then motion alert just for the front yard.
I want the same too, but as he says those get into their cloud, meaning it may not be a good idea for then, now latter they could add a custom recording period by paying lets say 2 dollars a month. And I Absolutely would do it for that price.
Is there a way to get a louder notification? In case someone enters my garage during the night I would like to be woken up by a siren/loud notification. Otherwise, I will only watch the guy who stole my bikes the morning after.
I bragged to the police I have a Wyze cam. However the only thing I could give the cops was a car going into a pool with Wyze wanting me to spend money to access each camera individually. This would be over $600 per year. NOT WORTH IT. The package promised 12 seconds free. Where is our government shutting these people down? 🤬
Was a HUGE proponent of this product and even handed them out to clients. Not now. NOTIFICATIONS Has disappeared. I guess you're suppose to stare at your phone all day. At first, tons of them came. That was better than not having them at all. No matter what I do? No notifications.

We found a bug in our Android push notifications and are switching over to Google push notifications to address this. We have the fix in beta right now and it's looking promising! If all goes according to plan, we will make a public release for it around the end of next week.

Is it possible to get notifications if the Wyze can senses that motion has STOPPED? Scenario: I’m using it to monitor my 3D printer and would like for it to send me a notification when the printer finishes a job. In this case there is constant motion, but then when the job is finished, motion ceases.
Is there a way to only receive alerts when you are OUT of your home? It's annoying to get alerts when I'm walking around my own home. Thanks for the video.
Check to make sure your notification bell icon in the app (top right corner of your home page) doesn't have a line crossing it out. If that doesn't fix it, you need to check each device's settings to make sure you've enabled Notifications (triggered by motion, sound, and check their sensitivity settings). Hello everyone I bought the pan scan cam with newest update. I always have person selected as detection when I’m gone. When I leave I either leave the TV or radio on when no one home as a deterrent. With just motion on my tv is setting off alerts and notifications. When I have sound detection on I get alerts and notification from the radio. Can someone please help me what settings to use? When I leave my dog at home what settings should I use so she doesn’t keep triggering alerts while I’m gone. Thanks for your help. I’m a newbie this is my first wyze camera.
So if somebody broke into my home, and I got an alert, will I not get another alert for another 5 minutes? How is that effective for me if I cannot see what's going on between that and 5 minutes?
I just got one and your video is great but after inserting the Micro SD card, the app doesn't recognize it. I've popped it out, back in. Checked and it's already formatted FAT32. Not sure what else it could be. The Card is a Sandisk Extreme 32GB. Any Ideas?
ive had my wyze cams since abt mar 21. My i6 doesnt show those alerts onn one screen page as yours does. I have no alert settings as you describe. I do have notifications,but it only is an on/off button. Also I have 4 v3 cams with grid squares for Detection Zones. One of the v3 cams intermittantly switches from the DZ grid squares one day then a day or so later reverts to a rectangular DZ, etc every few days. The rectangle DZ doesnt work well for outdoors due to outside shadows,wildlife plants not conforming to the linear DZ lines. Ever run into this pb?

Can you turn off all alerts via a single option? eg: If you have numerous cameras, and you arrive home, can you turn off all their notifications from a single option, rather than having to go into each individually? eg: An "I'm Home" button?
In this video you show that the motion detector has a low, medium and high sensitivity. But I don't have that when I turn on the motion detector. Is this because that feature was discontinued or am I missing something?
Mine came in yesterday and im EXTREMELY disappointed was working fine last night and the afternoon but this morning when i need it the most it decides not to send notifications all day and im still in the 14 day free trial and its acting like this im seriously considering returning it i have everything the same as in the video and i even deleted the app and reinstalled and still nothing -_- and i had high hopes from it working the previous day. Also the app is extremely glitchey and hard to use wyze needs to step there game up like seriously

dude what you have made, is so freakin' awesome! ifttt is really cool as well as well as thinking about how annoying the notifications are so setting a cooling period. I have trawled through so many damn cameras, it's a tough market it seems, I like yours the best for the price cost. I have a question. Which wyze cameras support full-duplex talk? I have looked everywhere and it seems the norm for most cameras at best to be walkie-talkie.
Pretty sure you have to pay for a wise cam cloud subscription for this alarm system and notifications to work. he accidentally forgot to mention that. LOL
This depends on how close people are when they walk across your property. If it tends to be fairly far away, you may want to use High. Closer distances can use lower sensitivity settings. But we have an update coming out with a slider for sensitivity so you'll have more control soon. :)
Does the public have access to my videos? My baby monitor had a hidden setting that live streamed all activities to the public (by a different company) so I’m just wanting to make sure there’s not a same setting on this one
Can I adjust the sound of push notifications? I find it really low and I want to be able to hear it right away or wake up from it in case it detects motion specially at night. Or would I be able to connect it to Alexa so it can prompt me if motion is detected a bit louder? I really like wyze cam thats just my main concern hopefully if the software is updated, there will be an option to adjust the loudness of the notification.
I love these cameras. But is there a way to only record just vehicle, animal, , person, and package. (Which I have switched on in cam plus) but i do NOT want to record MOtion ALERTS.
Good question, unfortunately all the motion events have to be recorded so they can be analyzed by the AI, you can set it to only notify you on the AI detections and filter the event page to only show the AI detections.
Hey, Roman! Thanks for reaching out to us. Motion Tagging will create a box around motion detected on screen. Motion Tracking lets your Wyze Cam Pan follow detected motions. Notifications are sent when something happens. Motion Detection being enabled will create Event Videos which are saved to the cloud and will generate notifications. :) Please let us know if this helps!

I think this might be outdated. When I first got the cams I was able to turn sound and motion detection on and off. After the most recent update, I am unable to do so. I can only lower the sound detection to 1%. I live in NYC and even at this level, the cam still pics up sound and I start getting notifications. Also, notification activation does not offer individual activation. Meaning I can’t set the cam to only send me motion notifications. I get both motion and sound. Can someone tell me if there is a way around this?
This video is definitely outdated. You can turn off your sound detection completely in the Event Recording portion of your Camera Settings. At this point, you can't turn off push notifications for an event type if that event type is turned on. I have a solution for me at least.my motion detection choice was NOT showing up.I had to tap the bell to activate it...even though it did not have a line through it.
I have gone through the video and gone through all the settings. My phone is set up for notifications as well with everything and able. Motion detection is capturing video, but I can’t get notifications pushed at all. Again, everything I’ve been fine in the app related to notifications and push is turned on
I absulutly wish that I could see alarm notifications and being able to access it by using the sd card inside the camera, in small words... I wish I could see the Camera SD-Card recording films from my phone since the SD motion detector record none-stop in loops of 1 minute until the motion is totally gone, in small words it will give me the pleasure to see the whole thing of what just happened instead of just 12-15 second that gets automatically into the cloud

While viewing the Livestream of your Wyze Cam is free of charge, Cam Plus subscriptions are individual purchases. My screen options do not match those you are showing on your smartphone in the video. For example, when I click the Gear for a specific camera, it take me to Camera Settings, with 9 different options. I do not get the screen you are showing with only 3 options. My screen does NOT have "Alert Settings". My screen shows Event Record, Notifications, Detection Settings, Alarm Settings, Advanced Settings, Schedules and Automations, share, Device Info and Extended Devices. I would like to turn off the Sound and Motion, but the only way I can see to do that is to go to "Detection Settings" and turn off "Motion Detection Settings. There is NO option to turn off the Sound Detection Settings, so I have to either go to the lowest Sensitivity setting to the Highest setting, but no matter which I choose, I continue to get motion and sound detection notifications. I have turned it off, but I continuously get alerts of movement and sound. When we are home our kitchen camera constantly sends sound and movement notifications. Is there a newer video with instructions or is my software outdated? How do I fix this issue?

We don't have text alerts through the Wyze app but you can set that up with IFTTT. This video will help you get started with IFTTT! I’m having A problem getting the He events on my phone saying I have bad Wi-Fi service or go to log and camera settings but I’ve tried that several times and I am not understanding what’s going on? If anybody can help me that would be awesome
I have everything set, animals, motion detection etc does not pick up deer coming through my backyard cats birds coyotes nothing but it sure picks up cars driving by my house out front it's aggravating why am I paying and it's not picking anything up. I had four deer go through my backyard about 30 yards away and didn't pick up anything I have smart detection. I tried everything.
