301's seem to respond better to upgrades than 212's or 224's. They also make 50% more torque than a 224 out of the box. Wish the 301 got more love, because it is hands down a better engine than the smaller Predators.

Bought one of theses while back it’s been a lot of fun the way it is. Using this for a training bike for my kids and I have to admit first thing to go is the pegs. Just an injury waiting to happen

Basically just rubbed my old motor out so I’m using it as practice for the governor removal, beefy valve springs, and flywheel. Of and don’t forget the CVT! It’s going to RIP!!! Or I’m gonna die... lol! Hey thanks again guys. Keep them coming. If I don’t crash and burn on this I’m going to swap motors for the monster moto my boy has been riding.
RBG align the pulleys on the lathe and turn down your own stuff. Do you have horizontal boring bars, high speed steel inserts, dial indicators, and quick change tool rest, and tool bars?
Just received the 301cc today!!, but now I need a new gas tank :( too big. Working the stage 1 performance kit on the EX frame without the torque converter... for now :) .
Only saying this cause I love and care about everyone in this video and comments section: slap a guard on that grinder with cutting disks. Had one explode on a coworker and a big piece of it got lodged into the bone in his forearm. He's lucky it wasn't his face. One of my dad's employees had one explode on him too. The guard is there for a reason, boys!
4:48 I like the 60 tooth much better with a TAV. I'm currently using a 9 and 60 tooth. The 50 worked good with an 8 tooth. Never tried it but the 60 and 10 tooth should work well. I don't recall you guys using a 60 tooth with the TAV? Riders choice I guess.
Love the videos, but i have an editing suggestion. Could you please turn down the volume or add in music when using power tools, we all know what they sound like and don't need to experience the full volume of them in videos. I have to have my volume up to be able to hear everyone talk but i don't need my ears to bleed when you use a grinder or impact or welder.
Where can I get a jackshaft tube like that. I don’t have a lathe or I would make it. I put a pillow block on my project and the bearing can move inside the block, putting too much stress on the end of the shaft, causing the shaft to break. That tube would be the answer!
So, not related to this video but have you ever broken an exhaust bolt while riding? I have a racing clone 212cc that just snapped an exhaust manifold bolt while riding near full throttle.
if you flip the driven pulley, wouldn't that ruin the belt because i think they are directional belts on those torque converter? the face angles on the driven won't be true to the driver pulley ?

I was always taught that there are 2 things you never talk about in public, religion and politics, because you never know who you'll alienate.
