Found this video while searching for engine replacements for my sons go kart. What a great video. You do a really good job of demonstrating what you're talking about. Question: will the 420cc Predator fit in my sons Coleman KT196?
Hey Red Beard. I'm not trying to be a pain. Is it possible the ceramic coating is what caused the block to crack and gasket to fail? Is it possible, it's retaining too much heat?
Yo RB, your video came up. Your presentation was logical, supported with evidence, and especially gave a how to avoid. Solid move with donating him replacement parts. Best of luck with your endeavors, and you got some karma points on this one. I'm checking out your other vids now. Have a pleasant day, cheers.
If you replace the carb and remove all the throttle linkage cam you leave the governor gear in place or do you have to go in and remove the gear. Is it going to bother anything just hanging there
Thanks for showing us this engine but I think when you break in an engine you are not supposed to use synthetic oil or any zinc anti wear additive because you want it to wear in a little bit and it can't if you put anti wear additives in it. Is there an oil filter on that engine???😮
The GPS carb tested in this video was a 26mm version and should have been the 22mm version. You can take that info however you’d like. Still should have made more power if tuned properly but we did not change any jets in the 3 carbs.
Tillotson, one of the Biggest Karting specific carburetor companies made one of the WORST 4Cycle carbs ever for the 225RS. (I am running a World Formula Carb, Friggin lights out) EC sourced a bunch of Built 196cc "Clone" stuff for the engine Early engines had a few gremlins, but they are working through them, later Generation engines are much improved (except the carb)
Hey I am about to buy one of those I was just wondering if you could do a video or something over the cost of it and everything you got done to it. Please

I have the same kart and I am trying to swap the axle because the brake wobbles and the rear end seems to be causing it to be harder to push. I tried using your links but it pulls up nothing. How long is that axle?
i had been thinking about changing out my minibike carb. its got an old tecumseh 2.5hp with the butterfly valves and it just doesnt do all that great. idle is inconsistent, high end is a little lacking, and any throttle position between wot and idle results in erratic rpm.
About to put my 420 stage 2 on my tiny little mega monster Moto 80 with the blow motor I had a lot of fun with the last year My wife says I'm going to get myself killed on this thing but man it's fulfilling a life long dream I like to go really really fast taking off really fast like being loaded ground I love my carts but it's been a lifelong dream to build a mini bike with the biggest fastest torch motor that I can find and I have found that the 420 predator side for going bigger are going to be well that's what I'm about to do hopefully everybody hears about it hopefully I'm able to figure out how to get it posted I like to think that I'll have the fastest mini bike in the state of Indiana
